TRYING TO GET BACK

After watching the “rich” guy throwing in the towel, Donald entered his office and quickly went through his schedule for the day.

Time flew and soon it was time for him to leave.

He had to be in school to see his project supervisor later that day, so he decided to get ready to leave.

He put some documents into his bag so that he could go through them later on his arrival home. Then he walked out of his office downstairs to where he had parked his newly bought car.

He drove out of the company's premises, but after five minutes of driving, he came across Amelia and naturally offered to give her a ride.

Within a short while, they arrived at the university and Donald was trying to park his car when he heard a tap on the window.

He turned and inevitably raised an eyebrow at seeing who it was.

"Hey, Donald. Who owns the car you're driving?" Sandra asked.

Donald, however, frowned and ignored her.

What was the whore doing here? And it was none of her business whose car he was driving.

"Hey, Don't..." Sandra was about to say something when she noticed Amelia sitting next to Donald. "Who is this young lady?" Sandra asked as she looked at Amelia suspiciously as the latter got out of the car.

Donald had already signalled to Amelia to ignore Sandra, so Amelia said nothing. She had heard that Donald was cheated on by his girlfriend and probably this was the cheater herself.

Sandra eyed Amelia with jealousy and hate. Had Donald found himself a new girlfriend so soon?

Unbearable!

“I hate you, Donald! You said you love me and look what you got here with you.”

She stomped away before Donald chuckled in disbelief.

A shameless bitch indeed!

How could she bring herself to accuse him when it was she herself who she should be blaming? Nonetheless, there was no point arguing with her.

Sandra, on the other hand, was confused and worried. Rodney hadn’t contacted her after the last call. And she couldn’t forget what Rodney told her the previous day.

And now, she saw Donald in an expensive car, and then a young lady beside him.

She must find out the truth!

With this in mind, Sandra icked up her phone and dialed a number. "Hey, can we meet immediately after you finished your work?"

There was a long silence before a male voice finally answered reluctantly. "Okay."

That evening, at Rodney’s house, as soon as Rodney parked his car, Sandra stood up and walked briskly towards him, greeting him eagerly. "What's the problem?" Rodney asked coldly as he hadn’t recovered from the shoke and shame of sleeping with his superior’s ex girlfriend.

"Have you found out any evidence that Donald? was lying?" Sandra asked."You know what, I saw him driving an expensive car today..."

"The truth is that Donald is indeed from a rich home. And he is now the new CEO of Duluth Associates," Rodney interrupted her.

"CEO? You can't be serious!" Sandra couldn’t help but pitch her voice much higher than usual.

"I'm damn serious!" Rodney confirms immediately with a stern look.

"Oh, my goodness! It’s all your fault. You forced me into this. How I wish I knew...oh my...," Sandra lamented.

"Haha. You regret starting a relationship with me right? You're so unbelievable!" Rodney mocked in anger.

"No, I'm not. You're the one who is. Can you imagine a young man like Donald being your boss? Yet, you aren't ashamed. You have nothing compared to Donald. If I had not met you, I'll probably still be with Donald. Meeting you was surely a mistake..."

"What?! Tell me you aren't serious about what you just said," Rodney said in disbelief. He had known that Sandra was a gold-digger all the way long, but he hadn’t expected her to lay so low. Blaming him for her loss? No way! Who came up to him with a bikini that night in the first place?

"I'm serious. Oh, no. See what you made me settle for! I could have been Mrs Jeff had I not met you!" Sandra screamed.

"Get out of my house!” Boiling with hatred, Rodney yelled at top voice.

"Of course, I will. I don't mind leaving this stinking place! I'm getting out never to return here again!" Sandra yelled back.

"Now, get out you fool!" Rodney roared, trying his best not to slap Sandra on the face.

"I'm going back to Donald. I already knew that I wasn't going to spend a long time with you. You couldn't buy me an ordinary bag the last time we went shopping. I should have known that you only pretend to be who you're not. You act like you're rich, yet you have nothing. You're such a helpless church rat!" Sandra yelled as she walked out on Rodney, slamming the door behind her.

As soon as she got out of Rodney's house, she decided to visit Donald. She checked her wristwatch and found out that it was already 9 pm.

"I'm sure he would have returned home at this time," Sandra said to herself, as she boarded a taxi down to the apartment that Donald had rented, but she soon noticed that the apartment was abandoned. So she asked a neighbour about his whereabouts.

The neighbour noticed how desperate she appeared, so he gave Sandra Donald's card. "In that card, you'll find his location."

"Alright, thank you," Sandra responded, as she collected the card and varnished out of the neighbour's sight.

She tried to trace the location she saw on the card, until she was able to arrive at a house. It was a big and beautiful mansion.

"Could this be where he stays?" Sandra thought to herself, as she met with the gateman who let her in reluctantly, after she tried to convince him.

She was led by a servant into the house and Donald was informed of her presence.

As soon as Sandra saw him, she rushed towards him.

"Donald, I'm sorry. I..."

But before Sandra could even finish her words, Donald called for the security guards and they together got hold of her and dragged her out of the house.
