Family Get Together (II)

As Alton was waiting there with Maria, they heard the sound of two footsteps heading towards them. As Alton looked in that direction, a smile appeared; he saw one male and one female walking toward them; The male had short black hair and a well-built body. He was wearing the same clothes as Alton, but the difference was that he had a Lion with seven stars in a circle around, leaving space for two stars on each shoulder.

The woman was a female version of Alton with long blue hair and eyes, and she was wearing a blue dress with black lines, and she had a star about the size of half hand with three stars which was attached to her dress near the heart.

The couple was walking gracefully as the couple came near Alton. Alton gave a slight bow in respect. "Good Afternoon, Father, Mother."

The couples were Aldwin and Aria; they both looked at Alton with a smile when Alton straightened up and stood straight. Aldwin puts a hand on Alton's shoulder. "Are you ready?"

Alton nodded, and Aldwin smiled at this, seeing that his son was showing that he would not run away this time because whenever there was a family dinner, Alton was not present.  He would either make some reason or will go to the town for that night.

Then Aldwin and Aria stood in front of the door, and Aldwin instructed the servant, "Announce our arrival."

The servant nodded, and then, opening the door, he said in a loud voice, "Everyone, Count Aldwin Von Teren, Countess Aria Von Teren, and Young Master Alton Von Teren are Entering the hall."

All people in the hall rank was below Count, so they bowed their head in respect, but a look of confusion could be seen on their faces which came from the announcement as it mentioned Alton this time as well, who had not attended this event for the past couple of years.

Aldwin with Aria and following them Alton all three of them entered the room and then seeing all the people bowing, Aldwin said in a loud voice, "All can raise their heads." All the people raised their heads, looking in the Count's and Countess's direction, and just as announced Alton was standing there, all the people's attention went towards Alton as to why he was attending this event.

Aldwin's voice brought back all the people's attention to him. "I would like to thank you all for coming today. First, I would like to thank you all for your support, and second I will like to let everyone know that Alton will be visiting Count Troy territory for some time, and this is a farewell party for him as well."

Alton was famous for not leaving his room, but out of nowhere, he went to visit Count Troy's territory; this shocked everyone and their focus was again on Alton.

Alton seeing that all the people were seeing him, nodded to this as saying that the thing Count was saying was correct.

Seeing Alton's response, the crowd gossiped about this to the people next to them, then Aldwin once again said, "Ok, Now enjoy the party."

Hearing this, everyone started moving around the hall, and Aldwin and Aria separated to attend to the guests. Alton sat down on a chair alone because he didn't know anyone here because of not attending these events, which the people in the hall thought. Still, Alton knew every person in the hall because in the past life when he became the Count after his parent's death, he met all the people and knew which person was loyal to the Teren family and which was not loyal to them.

As Alton was sitting on the chair in silence, people around would look at him now and then but not come close to him or start a conversation with him. Alton looked around the hall until he finally saw the person he wanted to talk to and for whom he decided to come.

Alton got up from the chair and started walking towards a female sitting alone, just like him.

She had small dark green hair with yellow eyes, and from the look of it, she was around Alton's age; as Alton walked closer to her, he brought his hand forwards. "Hello, Companion; my name is Alton."

The girl was shocked at seeing this and was lost in thought when she was brought by Alton's voice, "Excuse me Companion are you going to shake hand or not."

She immediately stood up and shook his hand. "I am Lisa Von Jamil; why are you calling me a companion."

Alton smiled while looking around her. "Well, you and I were both sitting alone; that is why I am saying, you companion."

Lisa smiled at this and then answered: "Well, I am alone because this is my first time coming here, so I didn't have the chance to interact with people." Alton chuckled a bit and said, "Well, we are in the same situation, then I am also here for the first time in a long time."

Lisa smiled, asking, "Alton, what is your full name?" Alton was shocked hearing this when he smiled at her. "What were you doing when the Lord entered and gave his speech."

Lisa blushed a bit and then pointed at the plates near her. "Well, I was eating, but why did I ask regarding the lord." Alton smiled and chuckled. "Then I need to introduce myself."

While bowing in courtesy, he looked at her straight "I am Alton Von Teren I belong to house Teren."

Lisa, hearing the name Teren immediately bowed her head because he was the son of LordLord meaning he was the next LordLord and she called him by his name when she said in a frightened tone, "Young Master, I am sorry I didn't know that it was you I am sorry please.."

Alton put a hand on her shoulder and, on the other, lifted her head back, saying, "No need to be scared I didn't mind at all." Then with a cheerful expression and voice, "I didn't think that anyone would be in this room to whom I would have to introduce myself."

Lisa was embarrassed but relieved that the rumors she had heard about Alton were incorrect.

The rumors were that if you make even the slightest mistake, he will punish you like there is no tomorrow, and even if he is useless, he still acts all high and mighty.

Lisa looked at Alton and mumbled under her breath, "He is not the same I think the saying is right seeing is believing."
