Jason wondered why Eric didn't help him. He has told him to prove himself; only then is he going to help him, but he was just a student, a high school teenager with nothing at the moment. Jason looked around to make sure the street was not crowded. The same was unbearable.

He grabbed his bagpack and flagged down a taxi. He was soon on his way to his old and tartarred house. Jason knew he had toknow the secret his grandfather was hiding and what he was dying to tell him even on his sick bed. He knew his aunt and stepmother wouldn't allow him into the Carter's mansion again, but he was going to find other means; there has to be a way.

Jason lay on his small bed with his thoughts focused on how he was going to scale through the heartbreak. His phone beeped again, and he picked it up from who messaged him, but it was another news flash. "When will these people ever stop?" Jason shouted, flinging his phone towards the car end of the bed.

    Jason stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his uniform. His body still ached from the fight with Ethan, but he pushed through the pain. He needed to focus on the task Fiona had given him. The promise of money was tempting, especially after the humiliation he had faced.
