chapter twelve

Jason walked back home feeling assured. He knew he had won over the school authority, and Ethan was losing his grip. His mind went back to the harmonious message he had gotten back at school. His mind was a whirlwind of what Ethan might be hiding. Jason's mind went back to the black card his grandfather had given him. He removed it from his pocket and stared at it. "I need to see more of what you can do." He said with a smirk on his face.

Jason decided to get more dresses. It was high time he lived up to the standard of his family. After all, he was a Carter.

As he walked out of the school premises, many of the students looked at him. Some were still in shock and didn't understand how Jason had managed to turn his fate around. Many whispered and said he was a liar and only time would tell.
