FIRST ATTACK

In the sitting room, Jordan was all adorned in his well-fitting suit as his mind cruised around what awaited him on the journey. It was morning already, and Ana was in her room getting ready. She was still worried about what she was about to witness—the sudden ruin of her adopted family.

A doorbell sent Jordan hiking towards it. Pulling his hands from his pockets, he reached for the door and opened it. The face of a vibrant man in his early forties or so greeted Jordan.

“Attorney, Bosco. Good morning, Mr. Rivers!” The man said this, extending his hand for the warm greetings.

Jordan shook the attorney’s hand with a welcome expression. “Good morning. You are right on time, Attorney. Come in.” Jordan said warmly, ushering the man in.

“I could not afford to fail on my first task. Thank you. May I sit?” The attorney asked once they were in.

“Sure. Make yourself comfortable, please.” Jordan said, and they both sat on the seat. “So, you brought good news, I presume?” Jordan added.
