After a momentaneous moment that seemed too long for the pregnant souls to see who the guest really was, her face finally shone on them as she was ushered in by the major. Jordan stood at a distance as he watched her after resting her on the seat. He was still trying to digest what Diana was trying to say. “Do you feel better now?” Jordan asked.Diana shook her head. “I cannot feel any better. I lost the baby, and now Edwin does not want to see me. My mother is nursing broken bones, and I cannot take her to the hospital because my uncle does not want anyone to know what he is doing to us. Maybe her uncle had all the rights to take away everything from them and perhaps kick them out if he wanted. When Diana arrived home, she made her way straight to the living room. The room had become their everything—their sitting room, dining area, and bedroom as well. All the other rooms in the humongous mansion were completely out of bounds for them.Her mother was still lying on the sofa where she had left her. She was unable to speak like the day before. Ana, just like Jordan, was swimming in utter sympathy for Diana and her mother. Their situation seemed even worse than Diana had explained to Tyem a while ago. Her mother was the most worried. She looked like she was losing the battle. The pain was taking a toll on her.“I asked who the hell you are." Daniel asked when Jordan failed to speak. Jordan was assessing the room, which seemed so messy compared to its clean-cut signature look. It didn’t look like the tidy room he once knew when he was living with Diana. Well, the house was never peaceful to him, but the aura had become worse. “You monkey! Get these people out of my house. I do not know them. And go with them, because you are fired too! Daniel’s lower part of his face was drenched in his own blood when he finally jerked himself up from the floor. Even the upper part had bleeding marks too, but the lower one seemed to have suffered the most. Actually, he was too scared to stand. He did not want to face another kick or a punch on his almost dismantled face from Jordan. And he was too ashamed to face the faces before him. He was certain that Diana and her mother were basking in the uttermost glee at seeing him being beaten up and humiliated before them. He wished he would never face them again.But they were there, watching it all, and indeed, sure to Daniel’s thoughts, Diana’s smugness could never have been cloaked seeing the man in such a state. It was not like she was even trying to hide it. She wanted her uncle to see just how much she relished watching their tormentor’s downfall. If only her mother had the strength to move a muscle, she would also have joined her daughter in laughing at her brother and mocking him.

With the crimes that Jordan had mentioned, which she and her mother were not aware of, coupled with the fact that he had killed her unborn child, forgiveness was not on her mind. She wanted to be gone, and for good. No one would even have bet that if he was set free, he would never come for revenge again.“Or what?” Daniel asked with curiosity. He wished that there was a better choice than death.“You give everything that you have taken from your sister and her daughter.” Jordan said, assessing the man’s thoughts.Daniel’s heart throbbed with a new ray of hope. Fishing her phone from her handbag, she called an ambulance to come and take her mother to the hospital, while Jordan escorted Daniel to his room to pack his bags. “Wait for me outside," Jordan said to Ana.Getting to the room, they walked in on a carpet of drugs. The room looked like it was where the drugs were manufactured. He did not know what type they were, though. “Sit!” Jordan ordered, and Daniel turned to him with shock.“What? I thought I was going to pack.” He asked in confusion.“It is not necessary. The trip you are taking does not require you to take anything with you.” Jordan said.“What are you talking about? Of course, I need to pack my clothes.” Daniel asked. He thought they had an agreement, but the way Jordan was talking contradicted everything he had told Daniel.
