“Yeah. From ear to ear. What crossed your mind that took away that smile, huh?” She asked.

Jordan had expected Ana to show up in her room that morning, but she did not. As they gazed at each other at that moment, he could not see a trace on her face that denoted that she had a problem to solve with him. She seemed normal. So okay. “Won’t you ask me to give you your share?” He finally broke the silence.

She wiggled her head once. She seemed to be in the dark. “What? Share of what?” She quizzed.

“I heard your conversation with Mariela last night. I expected you to budge in my room this morning and slap me with a thousand demands and threats. Or maybe a court order.” He added.

Ana chuckled out so loudly and for a long moment that it left her tearing up. “And you seriously thought I meant all that bullshit? No wait, you actually thought I was that stupid to fall for that woman’s bullshit? Even if that was my plan, why in hell would I entrust my secrets to that crooked witch?” Ana asked. H
