THE STRANGE WORRYING GUEST

After a momentaneous moment that seemed too long for the pregnant souls to see who the guest really was, her face finally shone on them as she was ushered in by the major. Their jaws would have dropped to the floor after her face was revealed, but her condition was more appalling than anything else. Her eyes were double their usual size. They were red and sore, like she had wept nonstop for days. She looked messy, from her hair to her dirty clothes. She didn’t look like the woman they both knew.

“I will go back to my post, boss. Please excuse me.” The major said this and excused himself.

“Good morning, Jordan!” Diana spoke calmly.

Jordan did not respond to her greetings. He instead turned to Mariela, who was keen on listening to what was being said. “Leave us!” Jordan spoke.
