Ana jerked herself up from the cold floor and sprung to her feet, gazing at the lady before her. She wanted to spit on her face or slap her across the face for scaring her like that, but she contained herself. The lady seemed more disconcertingly placid than usual. Her gaze conformed to that of a vicious person, too. She did not cooperate either. “Talk, huh? Was what you did to me just now the way to summon a person for a talk?” Ana asked as they racked before each other.

“The other way would not have worked. Or do you want to lie to me and say that you would have willingly come if I called you? Or better still, would you have opened the door for me if I came to your room?” Mariela asked, shoving her hands in her pockets.
