“What is your condition?” Jordan enquired.

The lady cloaked her confusing merriment, assuming her algid expression once again as she spoke.

“If you have the medicinal knowledge as you claim, you will not only treat your father but also attend to everyone in need of help here. And you will leave only when I say so!” She stated.

Jordan wondered what kind of help the neighbors of the lady needed, but after ricocheting his eyes around the small sewerage streams passing through almost everywhere, he got wind of the kind of help they needed. They lived in the worst conditions. The place reeked of sewage all over. He didn’t understand what the lady meant by he would only leave when she said so. He also didn’t understand why fate always sent him to places where his help was fatally needed. But all the same, as fate had it, he had a life to save.

“Deal! Can we come in now?” Jordan asked.

“Mmh! Such an arrogant jerk!” The lady sneered as she opened the door for them, ushering them into her cubi
