THE ACCUSED

Some familiar faces stepped out of the car. Jordan could remember them very well. They were Mr De’Luka’s men. And in a minute, the door of the luxury car that led the convoy opened. Mr De’Luka and his wife stepped out and started walking towards them. Everyone was in awe, lost at what was unfolding before them.

Mr De’Luka and his wife wrinkled their noses as they matched forward. His wife had even pulled out a hankie and covered her nose.

Ana was appalled and frightened, but Jordan, as his signature nature, didn’t flinch. He nudged Ana to his side, wrapping his arm in a protective stance as he faced the old man.

“What the hell are doing following me around?” Jordan asked.

“I hate what you have reduced me into, Jordan, because I don’t tend to go after little fishes like you, but you have something that belongs to me. That is why I am here.” Mr De’Luka stated. He threw a glance at her daughter who didn’t look like she recognized him.
