A car pulled up at the Serena hotel compound while Jordan and Ana enjoyed their desserts. Jordan and Ana stood at the entrance gate of Mr. Jonathan as the sun was ushering in the darkness. Beyond the vast gate, a soothing buzz was audible, bringing about the serene, inviting aura inside. Both of them were adorned in new matching attire that exuded luxury. Comfoys of flashy cars also drove in one after another after a serious check at the gate.“This seems like a huge party, Jordan.” Ana remarked. They could not capture much from the inside, given the distance, the security guards, and the multiple cars driving past them. The meeting was coming to an end. There was nothing much to be said or done anyway. It was a simple dinner for Mr. Jonathan to introduce his new investors. And now it was that crucial moment.Jordan was seated next to a lady who had insisted earlier that they talk. He was still not blending well with the lady. She was too tipsy to even hold a conversation. Ana was seated a distance from them, but she was so restless. Her neck was cocked to the side where Jordan was seated with the bimbo. She wondered what the girl wanted from Jordan or what they were talking about the few times that she had caught them exchanging a few words.“And now, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to go to the main aim of this dinner. As you all know, my company suffered a huge blow a few days ago because I lost one of its biggest investors. However, the weeping days are now over. I want to introduce to you the new investors, Jordan Rivers, and Ana De’Luka.”The echo of their names echoed up to the high heavens.
