33. The Mysterious Golden-Glassed Man
Sebastian arrived at the venue for the Starlight Competition and found Gavriel standing outside with all his materials and equipment, pacing frantically. Sebastain could hear from the host’s voice that the opening formalities of the competition had already started, and Gavriel had yet to set up his station.Sebastian ran up to him, “Gav, what are you doing out here?”“This Big guy wouldn’t let me in! Conrad saw me when I just arrived and placed him here to stop me from entering the hall, no matter what. The other presentations from the other teams went by in a blur.However, one thing was clear in everyone’s mind, Sebastian’s team already won. Lecturer Grizzalo announcing it at the end was a mere formality to everyone.Leonard’s team came in last.“And the winners of today’s Starmine Competition are Team Sebastain and Cecile!” Lecturer Grizzalo announced. A loud applause followed.Sebastian smirked mockingly at Leonard. He fell into his trap splendidly.When Leonard saw Sebastian’s smirk, realisation dawned on him. Sebastian had set him up! There was pin-drop silence and awe from the sheer magnificence of what they could see.
