Chapter 5: A grevious Mistake

Six months after, Richmond came limping up to Mr. Steven's mansion to check up on him. Immediately he came into the mansion, the first person he noticed was Tina and his lips parted into a smile.

After the incident the other day, she had been all over Richmond and he could not help but love her back.

He was very grateful that he had finally found love again. One that had perfectly replaced Jennifer in his life.

But he still stood his ground by not accepting a penny from them since he began the treatment up till that time.

And nobody in college knew about Richmond's relationship with Tina. He had successfully sealed it away from the public. Even from his close friends.

Richmond was grateful that he had finally forgiven her. It made him realize how kind she was on the inside.

Immediately she saw Richmond, her lips parted into a smile. "How is my babe doing," she inquired.

"I am great Tina," Richmond replied with a warm smile.

From the front door, Mr. Steven proceeded out of the building. He was such a kind man.

And he had even informed Richard that he was going to fund the wedding ceremony between him and her daughter as compensation for saving his life.

"Good day sir, how are you doing today," Richmond inquired with a slight bow standing on his normal feet.

"Thanks to you, I am okay," Mr. Steven replied. "My family will forever be grateful." He appreciated with a broad smile on his face.

After spending a few hours in the mansion, Richmond decided to go to the dormitory and announce his new achievement with his friends.

When he got to his room, John and Michael lay on the bed chatting happily.

"Still wasting your time doing nothing?" Richmond inquired.

"What have you achieved with all your years of hard work," John returned.

"Guess what," Richmond replied with a smile hovering over his face.

"When it comes to Richmond, there is nothing worth guessing," Michael said. "So you better spill out what you want us to know," John added

"I have gotten her," Richmond announced.

The duo of John and Michael were confused. Who was the 'her' that Richmond was referring to?

"You have gotten who?" Michael inquired.

"Tina, the girl that is tagged the most beautiful girl on campus," Richmond announced.

Immediately he said this, the duo broke into sudden laughter. There could not be any possibility in what he just said.

But he was already expecting this and he came with his evidence to show that he now had Tina.

"Do you think her name even befits you for a start," Michael inquired still laughing.

"I knew you guys would not believe me so I brought my proof with me," Richmond announced proudly.

Richmond drew out his phone from his pocket while Michael and John held their breaths in anticipation.

Then, Richmond got the picture he was looking for and pointed the phone at them. Their Jaw dropped immediately they saw Tina and Richmond in a selfie pose together.

How was Richmond able to get her? No boy on campus had been courageous enough, even to approach her.

"How were you able to get her?" John exclaimed with his lips wide apart.

"I told you guys, I always have my way," Richmond noted with a smile.

Then, John's phone made a beeping sound. He just got some important W******p messages.

"What is that," Michael inquired.

"I think it is some important school bulletin," John replied.

He went for the message and started reading through it. But the last part of it made him hold his breath in shock.

Then, he burst out into long laughter. Michael and Richmond stared at him, confused at what was going on.

"What is it," Richmond inquired with a frown.

"It's your supposed girlfriend. She is getting married to a millionaire guy just a few months from now," John announced and burst into laughter again. A few minutes later, Michael also joined him after seeing the photos of Jennier and her new boyfriend together.

Richmond could not believe his ears and began to have difficulty in breathing. For short, his blood ran cold, and could already feel his heart failing.

How could they do such a thing? They had deceived him again? Even when he had decided to let go of the past and love her for whom he had known her to be.

He still could not believe them, he would have to see everything for himself.

"It's not true. You guys are just trying hard to pull my legs," Richmond tried not to believe them.

To make the doubting Thomas believe, John pulled the flyer to his face so he would have a look for himself.

When Richmond eventually saw it, he almost passed out. Tears gradually dropped from his eyes.

How could she do that to him after knowing her for six freaking months? And the worst part of it was the fact that he didn't suspect that they were playing games with him.

Richmond could already feel his anger rising speedily. And he had to clutch his fingers to control it. He wished he had not forgiven her in the first place this was all his fault.

But he had not begged for this relationship, she did. "She had said she loved me for who I was," Richmond screamed.

At this, Michael and John burst into laughter. How could their limping mond believe such a lie from the pit of hell?

"And you believed her?" John laughed hard until tears started dropping from his eyes.

Then it struck him that they only did that to pin him down. To continue treating the billionaire without accepting a penny.

He got into his slippers at the edge of the bed and began to limp as usual out of the room while his friends mocked him from behind.

"Go for your love, lover limping mond," Michael chuckled.

But in the middle of the road, his tired slippers gave up the life in them.

"Shit," he exclaimed.

But he could not stop there, he had to continue moving.

His legs ached when he eventually got to the mansion. His heart was pounding hard against his chest. But as though they were already prepared for him, a guard mouthed the gates with two military-trained dogs.

"What do you want here young man," the security officer said in his harsh voice.

"What do I want here?" Richmond fired. "I want to see that deceiver called Tina and her father too," Richmond yelled at him.

"I am sorry but I have been given orders never to allow you nor your look alikes into this place again," the security officer replied.

These words made Richmond more heartbroken. They certainly knew what they were doing to him. And they had this all planned out from the beginning.

But he wasn't going to leave there without a fight, not without seeing Tina and her useless father.

Then, the gate parted open and the cruel Mr. Steven walked outside. Immediately he sighted Richmond, his face parted into hate and disgust. Different from the normal smile he usually puts on when he was around.

"What do you want, limping dog," he shot a sneer at Richmond.

"I want an explanation. How could you and your daughter be so cruel to deceive me this way," Richmond yelled at him.

He didn't realize when tears began to drop from his eyes, staring at the hateful eyeballs of a man he had rescued from death.

"First and foremost, nobody deceived you. You have been the one deceiving yourself thinking that you can ever have my daughter," Mr. Steven returned.

"How can you be so cruel, making me feel that I had your daughter when she already belongs to someone else?" Richmond fired.

At this, Mr. Steven broke into a sudden laugh. This Young boy was so stupid to think that he could have his daughter.

He could not even think of such a poor ass like his venturing into anything called marriage with his daughter. The thought of it alone was like a deadly nightmare.

"Do you think I was going to give me daughter to such a limping piglet like you? Mr. Steven laughed. "Not in my next life," He laugh.

"I will return for you, Steven. Fear my return," Richmond threatened.

"Just empty threats, you are nothing more than an injured toothless dog," Mr. Steven replied.

He could no longer stand Richmond and his broke ass. He turned around to go into his mansion imitating Richmond limping.

His daughter was getting married to one of the richest drug workers in the city and there was possibly nothing Richmond could do about it.

But before he move, he was going to make Richmond realize that his words were just empty threats. He had already expected him to come there yelling.

"Send those wolves after him," Mr. Steven said to the guard.

Richmond not knowing what just transpired between the two still stood on his track. He wasn't going to leave that place without seeing Tina.

But before he could say a word, the security officer realized the dogs to go after him.

Immediately Richmond saw this, he broke into a run, limping as fast as he could.

Though his broken limb ached, he could not stop. His heart pounded hard against his chest as he limped. If those dogs caught up with him, they were going to devour him.
