Derrick raised his head and stared at the unknown woman whose name he knew as Anastasia. He envied her courage for threatening to kill Kira after everything she had seen and heard. “Then why did you run? “Please No!” “No!”“Stop!”“I don’t want to die!”Daisy kept screaming moving back as much as her frightened legs could allow. Liz laid on the floor ripped to pieces behind a bloodied Kira.All they heard was whistling like a kettle whose contents was already boiling.Before they could realize what was happening Kira appeared in front of them. “Fuck” Anastasia cursed in frustration pacing the length of the room they were hiding in.All they could hear was terrified screams, evil cackles and the roaring of the fire above them. “Do something Caleb!” Anastasia screamed watching Kira struggle in Derrick’s grip.Derrick groaned from the wounds Kira was inflicting on him. Caleb grimaced at the amount of blood that was on his body.He had never liked seeing the rest fluid so much to the extent that he got very light headed whenever he saw blood. Even at this very moment he wondered how he had not passed out from all the blood he had seen today. Anastasia groaned in pain for the umpteenth time in that minute.She was losing a lot of blood and he didn’t know how else to save her other than wrapping around her abdomen with a cloth to put pressure on her open wound. “I’ll go first” Dexter announced sliding his body into the passage way. He got down to his knees when he saw a big rectangular vent that gave a view of the night sky filled with shiny stars. “I see it!” Dexter exclaimed to Jackson who was behind him. “I just have to push this goddamn vent open”Maybe because of how the metal had rusted over the years, the vent gave way on Dexter’s fifth push falling noiselessly into the grass beneath. Tears of joy brimmed his eyes as he poked his head out of the rectangular space. He crawled out of the passage greedily gulping in the night air like a depraved man. Jackson followed after looking around his surroundings.“Fuck!” he cursed looking up at the top part of the building. The second Dexter let go of Kira he banged the chair as hard as he could against her head.The impact caused the chair to break into pieces and Kira fell to a heap on the floor.Both of them were breathing hard and Caleb could not believe that he was actually engaging in physical combat.
