That must have been how the rumors must have spread throughout the institution. However, Yujin had no interest in recklessly engaging in unreasonable fights. It was a rumor that failed to spread alongside what most students and faculty have known of him.

Yujin wouldn’t even resort to fighting or doing any violence unless it is even necessary. But what most of them commonly knew was that Yujin would eventually resort to fighting because he was a bloodlust freak.

It was a label that spread out at the same time for him. At first, he was pissed by it but as time went on, Yujin began to pay it no mind. He just wanted to graduate so that he could move out of the colony and enter Espracta's warzone.

Ever since the warzone broke out in Espracta, Yugin had always wanted to enter the warzone and enhance his skills there. However, his parents were always blocking his plan to do it and told him to just stay away from being a champion.

Yujin knew what he wanted at that time. However, since he is still under his parent’s supervision until he graduates high school, Yujin has no choice but to actually follow the rules that his parents have set for him. Well, just until he graduates high school, at least.

His plan was to still go there, even after what his parents told him. It’s just that his record for being a delinquent is the only thing that was holding him back from actually graduating. Each school year, Yujin’s common dilemma would have to be getting ahead of his academic status.

Having been famous for being a delinquent, it would seem that Yujin would really have a tough time getting out of the institution. especially when everyone seems to be waiting for him to actually commit violence once again.

Yujin ignored the rest of everyone’s stares and proceeded towards his usual seat, which was at the far corner near the window. Yujin had always preferred sitting in this area, for in this corner he would be able to see through the window, which has been covered with mold, how tragic the reality of life was outside the four corners of his classroom.

It was by far different compared to the lies that this institution has been trying to inculcate in their minds. They wanted to make the students believe that by completing their education, they can freely choose their path according to the skills they are able to master. And such skills would be beneficial for them once they encounter the monsters.

Just the very thought of it made Yujin wince in silence. He thought that if only the rest of his dumb classmates would really understand the situation, perhaps they would no longer even consider coming into this institution like he does.

It's possible that if that were the case, each and every one of them would be aware that the only way to stop violence is through more violence. This has always been the case, even before the era of great dominance came into existence.

Even before the domination occurred, all humans had already been living in violence. And in fact, most of them knew very well that violence would not be obliterated unless another form of violence had been inflicted.

But since Yujin had been constrained in these four corners of the room, he had no other choice but to refrain himself from doing so, even if at times he just couldn’t help himself from actually making it happen since it was the situation’s calling.

“Ichinose?” The proctor immediately called out to Yujin, who was already busy looking out from the window.

Yujin was so wrapped up in his own thoughts that he completely missed being called by name multiple times. Only when the proctor threw the board eraser at Yujin's head did he realize what was happening.

Chalk dust instantly spread all over Yujin as a result of it, and it caused him to become furious almost instantly. Thankfully, he remembered that he couldn't attack the proctors in retaliation; doing so would have resulted in further sanctions and a negative mark on his record.

He knew this was what they really wanted to begin with. They really were testing his limits until he finally exploded. And then in the end, it would be him who would be the one to be blamed again.

Since Yujin was already fed up with this constant scenario that has been taking on in his almost daily life, he had already anticipated that the next of this was that he would be sent out of his class.

And so, before that could even happen, Yujin made the exaggerated move by making the heated situation between him and the proctor triggered.

“Did you throw this at me?” Yujin asked the proctor.

No one among the student body has the courage to even protest among the proctors but since Yujin falls in contrast among them, it’s already expected that he’ll eventually try to fight back right away.

And it was what Yujin did.

“You’re slacking off in my class.” The female proctor’s spectacles flashed a short glimmer after it directly glared at Yujin’s direction.

Yujin walked instantly closer to the proctor while carrying the eraser she threw at him. The rest of the class was clearly beginning to feel frightened of the upcoming scenario that was about to take place between Yujin and the proctor.

However, the proctor doesn’t seem bothered by the behavior that Yujin was demonstrating. She had already been well used with this delinquent, and this wasn’t like the very first time he did this.

It was like a common routine with the likes of Yujin, and she was confident that in the end, she would still prevail over him.

As Yujin stood in front of the proctor, he immediately crushed the eraser in front of his face as he told her, “That’s the tenth one for this school year, I hope you still have enough supplies to last until the end of the school year, bitch.”

As soon as that happened, Yujin left the room without waiting for the proctor to send him out, knowing full well that was the inevitable outcome.

When Yujin was finally outside, he felt nothing but relief.

It didn't even phase him that he was missing out on the class. Knowing that in the end the institution won't even let a delinquent be allowed to graduate is already pointless for him, so he might as well give up. For him, this place was no better than a free prison.

Even though he is technically free to go wherever he pleases, he still feels restrained from doing the one thing he really wanted to do: leave the safety of the colony and enter the warzone.

Yujin just sighed as he went downstairs to get a soda drink. He was well aware that by doing that, he could be sanctioned again but he still went downstairs anyway to get one from a vending machine.

He paused in front of the vending machine, considering what to drink, before finally inserting a coin to retrieve his go-to beverage, a Venum energy drink. Ever since some of the proctors from this institution started treating Yujin this way, he tried this drink for the first time, and he was hooked.

Yujin made an effort to prevent himself from thinking about it again and eventually opened the beverage can so that he could enjoy it. However, just as he was about to take a sip, he was abruptly jolted out of his reverie by an enormous explosion...

The unexpected sound caught everyone off guard, particularly because the majority of them had never heard it before. After hearing the warning scream of the siren, all of the people in the thirteenth colony once again began to shake, and fear began to well up inside of them in anticipation of the abomination that was coming their way. More than a mile away, across the twelfth colony, was the location of the most recent close-range siren the people from the thirteenth colony had ever heard. It was when the same kinds of monsters were able to break through the barrier of the colony and destroy the entire area, leaving almost no one alive after they did so. Even their crystal fortress in the twelfth colony was not able to hold up for very long in the face of the overwhelming amount of pressure that

However, for the time being, Yujin needs to keep running quickly in order to find a more advantageous location to fight the two monsters that are still chasing after him.If there was one more thing that he could have that would give him an advantage over these two monstrosities, then it would be the entire grounds of the institution. Yujin reasoned that since this was his homecourt, he had a significant advantage over his adversaries and could have easily won a gang war if the situation had been similar. Yujin, however, would need to come up with some new strategies in order to be successful in his battle against the monsters that he would be facing this time, rather than regular people. In order to do so, the fact that he would be facing monsters rather than regular people called for a different approach. And he was well aware that what he was about to do was nothing more than a wager on chance.Yujin immediately ran across the corridors of the ground floor. He knew the monsters

And despite the fact that they belonged to lower-class tiers, Yujin was unable to ignore the fact that he was outnumbered; this was still a disadvantage that he needed to take into consideration. However, due to the fact that Yujin had participated in a number of gang battles in which he was vastly outnumbered, he was aware of the specifics of how he ought to be able to turn the tide in his favor. Despite the fact that he knew he was dealing with monsters rather than merely delinquent humans like himself, he was still unable to avoid a brief moment of reluctance.Yujin was suddenly confronted with the horrifying reality of what was actually going on in the thirteenth colony as the three of them stood on the roof deck facing one another. Yujin was totally incapable of picking up on anything at all from the feelings that were coming from his hands. It appeared as though he had lost all command. Even though he may have them physically, the nerves around his hands will not respond to the commands that his mind gives them in order to make them move. If things continue as they are and the monsters continue to focus their attacks on Yujin, he not only risks losing this battle, but also has a good chance of ending up dead as a result of it. The two monsters gave off the impression that they were also interested in eating Yujin alive, which is particularly concerning given the fact that he appears to be defenseless at this moment in time.At this point, Yujin did nothing but hold his ground as the two monsters approached him from a closer distance in order to confront him once more. There was no indication that he was planning what to do or even if he intended to counter them in the same manner that he did earlier. Neithe

The alarming wail of the colony's siren could be heard throughout the entire zone once more. And Yujin was just one of the many citizens of the thirteenth colony who stood as witnesses to the deafening alarm of the siren. It appears that not a single one of the citizens who were still attempting to flee for their lives made it past the halfway point. They all turned their gaze in the direction of the broken barrier, which was where the majority of the monsters that had entered the colony earlier had entered.Yujin was one of those people who became stunned after seeing how a large monster that appeared to be similar to the species of a giant scorpion with a human head entered the broken barrier. And as soon as it entered, a beam was immediately released from its telson, which caused a line of tall infrastructure that was in its path to be destroyed. In a single moment, the concrete buildings melted away, and all that was left were the molten remnants of the structures. It didn't tak

Yujin knew very well that he couldn't just stop his assault there. While the monster was preoccupied with the excruciating pain the cedar oil had caused its eyes, Yujin went over to pick up the splintered rod.It appeared as though he had picked it up at the exact right moment because the rod had a very pointed edge. Yujin suddenly paused for a few seconds to consider his next course of action. It would be a risky move to immediately launch and skewer the rod through the monster, but he finally took a deep breath in and then launched himself forward. The monster was so preoccupied with trying to remove the cedar oil from his face that it was completely blindsided when Yujin launched his attack. Yujin then pierced the rod with its sharp end, and judging by the monster's screams of agony, it appeared that his actions had the desired effect.Yujin kept his full weight behind his effort to drive the rod further into the monster's chest. The monster tried to shake the rod out of its

Because it was so intense, Yujin came dangerously close to losing his balance. Yujin was almost exactly the same height as the man who punched him in the face. The man who did it was just a hair taller than Yujin himself. The foul odor of death permeated the atmosphere, serving as a gloomy reminder of the bloodbath that had just taken place. Aera's mind raced, desperately searching for a logical explanation, but finding none. The world she thought she knew was slipping away, replaced by a surreal landscape of uncertainty and disbelief. Anticipation coursed through her veins as she yearned for the moment when Doctor Karin would, perhaps, alter her stance and align herself with her fervent desire to fix the broken pillar. Doctor Karin's inquiry ignited a flicker of hope within Aera. "Yes," Aera murmured, her voice barely audible. “Yes, it is," she added, her voice tinged with a hint of hope. The worn wooden door groaned in protest as it swung open, granting passage to Aera. She stepped into the dimly lit room, her presence casting a shadow across the worn floorboards. Doctor Karin awaited her arrival. As Aera stepped into the room, a sense of déjà vu washed over her. There, in the same spot as before, sat Doctor Karin, engrossed in a stack of books generously supplied by the stray dog headquarters.Aera pondered, her mind swirling with the possibility that it was Draken who had proposed the notion of stowing away those books within the confines of Doctor Karin's chamber. The suggestion was undeniably astute, for within the confines of that room, where Doctor Karin languished in detention, she managed to carve out precious moments to peruse those written works on a daily basis.Aera stood there, her eyes fixed on Doctor Karin, a mixture of displeasure evident on her face."It's you again," Doctor Karin, however, said, her voice tinged with a disappointment at the presenc

Aera stared at him, her eyes wide with disbelief. The words before her seemed too good to be true, too fantastical to be real. Doubt gnawed at her, whispering in her ear, questioning the authenticity of what lay before her. She gazed at him, her eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. "Are you truly awake now?" she asked, her voice tinged with a hint of doubt. Aera's senses returned to her, and she mustered the courage to finally ask the question that had been lingering in her mind. Her cheeks were still tinged with a rosy hue, a telltale sign of the lingering embarrassment she felt. The memory of that impulsive kiss she had shared with Yujin played on a loop in her mind, causing her heart to flutter and her thoughts to scatter. How had she allowed herself to succumb to such a reflexive act? It was as if her body had acted independently, driven by an unseen force that she couldn't quite comprehend. Aera was still processing the evaluation that Draken had provided her with earlier in the conversation. In the isolation chamber, she was the only other person there except Yujin. Her head was cluttered with unrelated ideas at the time, and almost all of them were related to Yujin. After considering all that Draken had shared with her, Aera couldn't help but feel a twinge of embarrassment when she realized that she had just recently begun to consider the possibility that Draken's explanation was accurate. It's possible that what Dr. Karin saw in Aera was the possibility of a love connection between her and Yujin. This possibility is what drives Aera to put her pride in danger in order to assist Yujin.Aera thought that this must be what Dr. Karin was thinking about her as a driving motive for assisting Yujin. After all, individuals who are in love are known to do the most unselfish things conceivable, and Aera believed that this must be what Dr. Karin was thinking about her. When Aera
