Chapter 31

Two cars were parked in front of an empty house on the city's outskirts. Smith stepped out with three of his men, holding a brown suitcase in his hand. His face appeared resigned, as the moment to relinquish his company drew closer. His steps seemed weak as he ascended the stairs of the large house, which looked like a haunted mansion.

"Sir, why must we meet in a place like this? Wouldn't it be better to suggest they meet us at the company?" one of Smith's men protested. Smith glanced at his men and said, "Shut up! Don't talk too much. We just need to deliver this file and leave. Remember, we're dealing with William. Say the wrong thing, and you could end up dead!"
