002.

There was just one last class before school's dismissal for the day but Felix was no longer interested. He climbed to the rooftop and remained there. He poured the metallic parts out of his bag.

A representative from RoboForge Technologies was coming over in two days and all he has ever dreamed of was to work there. In the big city, make money and make robots. They had this internship program that would run for three months and they were coming to select those with the best gizmo, but his is now ruined. All thanks to kelvin.

There was no fixing this together. He didn't have any money left to buy more parts. The frustration forced tears out his eyes.

He couldn't believe he was about to miss out on such opportunity.

Felix cried for a few minutes but wiped his tears. He started joining it all back again. It's better than presenting nothing.

"They'd know I tried", he said to himself.

He spent hours that he didn't know the bell had gone off until his phone's alarm beeped.

He checked the time, "shit!" He cussed.

He carefully placed the little he had merged together inside his bag and dashed down the stairs. Being late for his part-time job might cause him the job actually but unfortunately, he ran into Kelvin and his friends.

"Someone's been hiding from me", Kelvin smirked, pulling him back by his backpack.

"He seems like he's in a hurry though", Matteo laughed.

"I'll do anything you want tomorrow, just let me go, I have somewhere to be", Felix begged

"You mean the little bar you work in?" Kelvin scoffed, "the trash looking bar waiter. You've destroyed that place for me Stark. I used to enjoy coming there" He pushed him.

Felix's back met with the lockers.

"Kelvin please", he winced in pain, "let's leave all these for tomorrow".

"Beg louder", Kelvin smirked at him.

He stared from kelvin to Matteo and then Owen, he pleaded, "please let me go".

They busted out laughing.

"Oh Felix. We did miss you in class today", Kelvin smirked, reminding him of earlier today, but Felix didn't say a word.

"Actually we have no plans today, so you my dear friend are going to keep us company", Kelvin stumped hard on his foot and it was hellishly painful.

His phone's alarm blared again. He couldn't possibly loose out on two things in one day. He needed that job and those tips. Staring at the three guys, he closed his eyes and drew in much breathe. With all his might, he pushed Kelvin out of his way and ran out.

He kept running. He knew tomorrow at school would be hell for what he just did but they weren't gonna pay him, this job will.

Felix didn't stop running, he was late anyways so walking wasn't an option. He kept praying within him that his boss wouldn't be in a bad mood or even still, she wouldn't be around.

He kept on running and bumping into a few people. He was sweating already but smiled once he saw the bar in sight. How he got a job here was a miracle to begin with.

In his smiles and happiness, he forgot to watch his path, he bumped fully into her. They both fell.

"Shit! I'm so sorry ma'am. I really am sorry", he stood to his feet immediately and lent a hand to the woman who landed on her butt.

She looked up about to take his hand when she caught sight of the amulet that was dangling on his neck.

"Ma'am please forgive me. It was my mistake. I should have watched where I was headed", he apologized as he helped her up.

He kept peeking at the restaurant.

"Where did you get that?" She asked looking shocked.

Her hand was pointed towards his neck, so he simply looked down at the amulet. He looked up at her.

"It's mine", he simply answered and dashed off.

Her eyes followed him until he got to the bar. She watched him pick through the glass before going in through the back.

She was still in shock. She got out her phone and made a phone call.

Meanwhile, Felix tiptoed his way in but luck wasn't shining down his path today.

He met face to face with his boss. Mrs Smith.

"H...hi.. Mrs Smith.. goodafternoon", he stammered.

"Does this place look like a joke to you Felix?" She folded her arms.

Felix shook his head negatively, "I can explain ma'am".

"You're full of stupid excuses. I hate incompetent fools like you. We both know you don't deserve a job here. I only accepted you after your mom's plea touched me but if you wouldn't be grateful enough and take it serious, I'd gladly fire you", she warned

"No please. It will never happen again Mrs Smith. I promise", he rubbed his hands against each other as he pleaded.

"Get lost from my sight", she hissed and Felix scurried away.

Mrs. Smith knew she could have fired the boy a long time ago but the handsome young boy brought her a lot of customers.

Felix simply wore his apron and hurried out to the front. His colleagues hissed aloud.

"I'm sorry", he muttered to the female but she cared less.

He worked tirelessly till his shift was over. He rounded up and was ready to go home when Mrs Smith sent for him.

He made his way to her office.

"Mrs Smith?" He knocked on her door and he went in when he heard her response.

"I see you're done for the day".

"Yes ma'am and I apologize for coming in late. I have no excuse but it will never happen again".

"I see you got some tips tonight?" She asked with an arched brow.

Felix stood muted without answering. He didn't know what point she was trying to make with such question .

"Answer me Felix", her calm tone even scared him the more

"A few customers were just being kind". He answered.

She stared at him with disgust for a while before exhaling.

"Give them to me".
