Liam wears his slippers properly and leaves the dining room. Margaret, on the other hand, continues eating his food. It is as if the food should not finish. As soon as everyone finishes eating the food, Margaret gathers the used plates. She ensures that the dining table and the dining room is clean before she leaves the dining room. She would have slap him if not that he left her inside the sitting room. Mrs. Cora had wanted to carry a police officer along with her, but her husband wouldn’t allow her to do that. He pleaded on Silas’ behalf. Mrs. Cora sits down on the couch for a few minutes before she leaves. She returns to the sitting room, holding a brown cup with her right hand. She sits down on the couch and starts sipping the wine. Her intention is that the wine will suppress the rage that is boiling inside of her.
