Mrs. Alex walks into the sitting room. She is holding a big bag. She drops the bag on the table.

“Your father asked me to give you this,” Mrs. Alex said.

“What is inside there?” Silas said.

“I don’t know. He said the gift is for the unborn child. You are to open the present when you get home.”

“Alright, mum. Thank you for the company.”

“You are welcome. I am going to miss you.”

“I will, mum.”

Silas stands up from the couch. He hugs his mum and leaves the sitting room. When she gets outside, he drops the bag inside the car. He enters the car and drives it away.

When he gets home, he alights from the car, clutching the bag with his right hand. He wonders what is inside the bag that can be so heavy.

He knocks the door and Emery opens the door.

“Welcome, sir,” Emery said.

“Thank you.”

Emery wants to collect the bag from Silas, but Silas doesn’t give it to her.
