THE STUPENDOUS MAN THE OUTING DAY

Margaret interrupts Liam. “I never put the mug on your head. What if I had poisoned the tea?” “All I know is that you will never do such a thing,” Liam said, giving a smile. Margaret ignores Liam. All her attention was fixed on the mug. She collects the mug from Liam softly and hurriedly empties its contents. Margaret dropped the mug on the table. Margaret was the first to see him. Liam, on the other hand, is engrossed in watching the television. His gaze is fixed on the television screen so that he doesn’t even notice anyone who enters inside the sitting room. “Your friend is here,” Margaret said, hitting Liam on the lap. Liam looks in the direction of the door and sees his friend. The tall man cannot hold it. He began to laugh. Margaret and Liam join him in the laughter too. “Do have your seat, Dr. Kennedy,” Margaret said. She is still laughing. Dr. Kennedy stops laughing. Liam and Dr. Kennedy leaves the dining room, while Margaret waits inside the dining room. She ensures that she tidies the dining table before she leaves the dining room. When Margaret gets to the sitting room, she meets the friends discussing with each other. They are seated on the same couch. She sits down on an empty couch and begins to listen to them. She didn’t utter any words throughout the conversation. Over the years, she has turned into more of a listener, instead of a speaker. He had only sat on the couch for four minutes when Rachael walked into the sitting room. She is dressed in a simple gown. “Welcome, dear,” Rachael said. “Thank you.
