“You better cheer up. At least, it’s not your husband that died,” Silas said.

“God forbid. My husband will not die.”

“Do you actually love me this much?”

“Of course, I do. Don’t worry, you will live to declare the work of God in the land of the living.”

“Amen. I will be heading to the bedroom now.”

“To do what?”

“Maybe to finish the book that I am reading.”

“It’s alright.”

“Or will you follow me to the bedroom?”

“No. Just go. I will stay here and do one or two things.”

“That’s alright. See you very soon.”

Silas stands up from the couch. He kisses Rachael on the lips before he leaves the sitting room. As soon as Silas is out of sight, Rachael turns on the television before she walks back to her seat.
