UNEXPECTED ALLIES

Chapter 9: Unexpected Allies

David and Fiona were relentless in their verbal attacks on Luke and Nina as they walked to their class. Luke tried to ignore them, but their taunts were cutting deep. David brought up Luke's ex-wife, who was now his fiancée, and accused Luke of being abandoned by her. Fiona added insult to injury, saying that Luke had to rent an expensive car with a high loan to impress other girls.

Luke and Nina didn't respond to their comments, and instead focused on getting to their class on time. But the two continued to follow them, like flies buzzing around their heads. Their behavior was becoming unbearable, and Luke knew he had to take action.

Without warning, Luke turned around and punched David in the face. It was the first time he had ever struck anyone in his life, but it felt good to finally stand up for himself. David stumbled backward, shocked by the sudden attack.

Fiona screamed and called for the security force, claiming that Luke had assaulted David. David was quick to remind them that his uncle was a manager of the university and that he would make sure Luke paid for what he had done.

As they waited for security to arrive, Luke and Nina were surrounded by a group of angry students who had been drawn to the commotion. Luke knew he was in trouble, but he refused to back down. Suddenly, two well-trained individuals appeared out of nowhere and stood by his side, their presence commanding respect and authority.

The two individuals, dressed in suits and sunglasses, quickly diffused the situation. They revealed themselves to be part of Luke's family's security detail, and they were there to protect him. They explained that they had been watching Luke since he arrived at the university and that they had been waiting for the right moment to reveal themselves.

The security detail made it clear that they were not to be trifled with. They warned David and Fiona to back off, and the two quickly retreated, cowering in fear. The security detail then escorted Luke and Nina to their class, making sure they arrived safely.

Nina was in awe of Luke's unexpected allies. She couldn't believe that he had his own personal security detail. She was even more curious about him now, wondering what other secrets he was hiding.

As they sat in class, Luke and Nina couldn't help but feel relieved. They had been through a traumatic experience, but they had come out on top. They were both grateful for each other's support, and they knew that they could count on each other to get through anything.

Meanwhile, David had dialed his uncle's number and was plotting his revenge. He was determined to make Luke pay for what he had done, no matter the cost. But little did he know that Luke had his own allies, ones that David could never hope to match. Luke was not just a simple college student; he was part of a powerful family, and he had the resources to protect himself.

The events of the day had shown Luke that he was no longer the weak and powerless person he had been before. He had finally found the strength to stand up for himself and protect those he cared about. As he looked at Nina, he knew that he had found something even more valuable than his family's wealth and power: true love and companionship.

The rest of the day passed without incident, and Luke and Nina were able to focus on their studies. But they knew that their troubles were far from over. David was still out there, plotting his revenge, and they would have to be careful to avoid any further confrontations.

As they walked back to Luke's car after their last class, they saw a group of people gathered around it. Luke's heart sank as he realized that David and Fiona had beaten him to it. They

had probably called for backup, and he knew that this was not going to end well.

As they approached the car, they saw David and Fiona standing there with smug looks on their faces. "You thought you could get away with punching me, didn't you?" David sneered.

Luke tried to keep his composure, but he was seething with anger. "I didn't come here to fight," he said, trying to reason with them.

Fiona chimed in with her usual insults. "Of course you didn't come here to fight. You came here to show off your rented car and your borrowed clothes."

Luke had had enough. He took a step forward and grabbed David by the collar. "You and your uncle can't touch me," he said, his voice low and menacing. "I have powerful friends, too."

Suddenly, the group of people around them parted, and two men in suits walked up to Luke. "Mr. Parker, we've been looking for you," one of them said.

Luke was taken aback. "Who are you?"

"We're from the FBI," the other man said. "Your family has been under investigation for money laundering and embezzlement. We need your cooperation in order to bring them to justice."

Luke felt like the world was spinning around him. He had heard rumors about his family's shady dealings, but he never thought it would come to this. "What do you want me to do?" he asked.

"We want you to wear a wire and get as much information as you can from your family members," the first man said.

Luke didn't know what to do. He had always been loyal to his family, but he couldn't let them get away with breaking the law. He looked at Nina, who was standing beside him, and saw the worry in her eyes.

He took a deep breath and made a decision. "I'll do it," he said.

The two FBI agents nodded and handed him a wire. "We'll be listening in," one of them said.

As Luke put on the wire, he knew that his life would never be the same again. He had to do what was right, no matter the cost. And he had Nina by his side, supporting him every step of the way.

Together, they got into the car and drove away, leaving David and Fiona behind, wondering what had just happened.
