Both stepped out of the car after paying the driver with extra tips. Twinkles hotel is not the kind of hotel for ordinary people. Those who patronize the hotel are top and rich men in the city. The hotel is no place for pauper and the management had made it a top priority to scan customers, based on their appearance, a way to make sure the rooms are made available for only rich customers. The workers are smart and professional. Even to be employed as a cleaner in the hotel, such a person must have some satisfying skills. “Wow!!!” Lizzy's mouth fell open, carefully taking in the opulence of the hotel. It was a majestic hotel, a five story building seated in a U shape in the expansive compound, each room reflecting light from within. Not only did it look like a royal castle in the eye of Lilly but also, Marcus wondered if the structure staring at him is paradise itself because it felt so surreal. A large fountain of water seated at the middle of the U-shape building, reflecting light. Some metres away too is a swimming pool with a relaxation spot close to it. It's always about his appearance. People judge quickly! “Is this how you regard your customers?” He spoke up boldly, glaring at him. The guards stepped forward, glaring down at him. “And who the heck told you you're a customer here!” He chuckled. “I thought you were smart but I see you're more dumb than your little sister!” Marcus wouldn't take any form of humiliation of the rude and mannerless guard. He gritted his teeth and stepped closer to him, glaring into his eye. “And you think you're the smart one for talking to customers without respect? Step away now or you're going to regret this for the rest of your life!” He warned, his gaze unwavering from the guard. The guards scoffed, clearly unmoved by Marcus's warning. He folded his hand across his chest, his intention of not taking a step away from the door noticeable. “Empty barrel makes the loudest noise. You're an empty barrel and here is no place for you to cause pollution! Get lost or you'll be forcefully evacuated!!” The rude guard retaliated, a tingle of pride and authority in his voice. That was a big blow to Marcus's face! An ordinary guard embarrassing and verbally harassing him! His ten fingers morphed into a fist. He felt like punching the guard on the face. Lizzy noticed the intention so she held his hand from behind. “Let’s leave here brother.” She whispered with fear in her voice. Marcus looked down from her hand which held him to her face which expressed fear with plead. Marcus forced a smile at her and said with a low yet a voice burning with anger. “We’re not leaving sis.” Shortly, something caught Lizzy's attention inside of the hotel. Momentarily, she forgot about the argument with the guard, excited by the fancy teddy bear which was held by a little girl. She happily propelled into the hotel. The guard sensed but misquoted her intention, thinking she wanted to run into the hotel. He forcefully pushed her back in a way she staggered backward before she fell backwardly, hitting her head on the hard flooring. Like a movie, in slow motion, Marcus rushed to her on the floor. “Lily!!!” He shouted on his way. Blood could be seen on the floor where Lilly hit her head. Marcus laid her on his lap and shook her vigorously. “Wake up Lilly!! Wake up!!” He shouted but the girl had lost consciousness with blood stains on her hair from the injury on her head.
