Laura retired to her room as soon as she came back home. She felt lifeless, betrayed and disappointed. Even when her mom kept pestering her when she came

“Why is it so dark in here?” Laura asked and placed her purse on the table as well as some files she came with. Nathan straightened up and shoved his hand in his pockets.
