I Wrestled With Him

James drove tirelessly while waiting for Lucas to give him a call before it got late. He had no plans to come outside but he just had to come outside for his friend.

He parked his car properly at a nearby cafe and rolled up his windows before dialing Lucas's number.

Ring! Ring!

He bit the tip of his fingernails as he waited for Lucas to pick up the call.

“Didn't I just finish speaking with him a few minutes ago? He knows that he has a lot of issues on his neck and he isn't with his phone close to him.” He felt angry at him for not picking up the call.

“I'll try giving him a call for the second time.” He calmed his nerves down as soon as he said the words to himself.

He brought out his phone and dialed his number one more time waiting for him to pick up the call.

As he was about to give up on the call seeing that Lucas didn't want to pick it up he heard the voice of Lucas on his phone screen.
