Chapter 5: The Audacious Anderson Family

If killing wasn't considered a crime in this new world, he would have slaughtered the entire family immediately without even bothering to communicate with them.

Although the entire Anderson mansion quaked, the buildings only trembled and didn't collapse.

The gate of Anderson's mansion opened, and seven armed men came out. They were the retired servicemen employed by the Anderson family.

Looking at the firearms, Old Ye became curious. The former Old Ye's memories reminded him of what guns are and their uses.

Pondering for some time, Old Ye muttered doubtfully, "Can that kill?"

In the immortal world, there is nothing like guns; they use swords, sabres, spears, and arrows, and all these were treasures and spirit tools; he didn't even have an idea of canons.

When the armed retired servicemen heard what Old Ye said, a weird expression appeared on their faces. They didn't know whether Old Ye was a lunatic or a sane person anymore.

"Get the old bastard Anderson out; I am not in the mood to entertain his dogs," Old Ye said impatiently.

"Who are you? How dare you talk down on our patriarch? Do you think I won't shoot you?" One of the retired servicemen retorted; he had never seen such an arrogant person before. Even in the face of firearms, he was still acting in an unbridled manner.

Old Ye wasn't one to waste words with inconsequential people; seeing that the armed servicemen had no intention to harken to his words, his face turned frosty.

Stretching out his arm, he pinched the space between himself and the armed servicemen. The armed servicemen were looking at him as he carried out his action in confusion. Suddenly,  their facial expressions turned ugly when they realised that the environment around them was changing drastically before they could realise it. They were standing before the presidential palace.

"Fire!" a voice shouted. Without warning, bullets rained down on the group of retired armed servicemen, and they were killed before they even realised what they were doing there.

Old Ye, who has 'caused their death, was satisfied; as expected, the seat of power isn't to be challenged no matter the kind of civilization.

With his arms clasped behind his back, Old Ye walked towards the Anderson gate casually, posturing like an almighty expert. His aura was shocking; he would have looked dignified if he hadn't put on faded trousers and a dirty, torn-buttoned shirt.

Boom!

As Old Ye's aura surged and clashed against the Anderson family gate, the gate collapsed immediately. As he strolled in, he could see a crowd gathered before the biggest house in the Anderson family courtyard.

Tapping his foot on the ground, he covered the distance in four seconds.

The earth-shattering sound of the gate collapsing alarmed the gatekeepers.

They rushed out of their security outposts with faces filled with shock. They were monitoring everything that happened between the retired servicemen and Old Ye. They were still pondering how the armed servicemen disappeared into thin air just like that when they heard the earth-shattering sound, but they came out to see that the intruder was nowhere to be found.

They weren't aware Old Ye was standing before the crowd of servants of Anderson's family, as well as their security men, with the few Anderson family members present.

"The Anderson family is mighty; they dare lay their hands on this Lord's granddaughter. How do you want us to settle this matter? Old bastard Anderson?" Old Ye spoke without a filter at all, and as he looked at the entire Anderson family with murderous intent, he wished he could kill them all at once.

"Who are you?" Old Anderson retorted with a frown. He didn't remember knowing such a person; if Old Ye didn't appear like an expert in Old Anderson's eyes, he wouldn't have even bothered to respond.

"This Lord's name is Old Ye; you should know by now why I am here; if you don't give me an explanation as to why my daughter ended up in the hospital in such a condition, I won't let you off." Old Ye reposted coldly; his voice was so filled with anger that their ears hurt.

When Immortal Emperor Dao introduced himself as Old Ye, Old Anderson and his people looked at him with strange expressions plastered on their faces; they couldn't relate the present handsome vibrant young man to the clumsy and timid Old Ye at all.

Old Ye didn't bother whether they believed him or not; he continued, "I am here to seek the divorce of my granddaughter Jenny; your useless family doesn't deserve to house the granddaughter of this Lord; get the divorce papers."

Although the former Old Ye memories recorded divorce, the concept of divorce was still strange to the current Old Ye. In the immortal world where he came from, divorcing is as simple as returning the bridal gifts.

Old Anderson didn't believe the handsome young man was Old Ye; he was overjoyed when he proposed a divorce; they had been looking forward to this moment; and he even ignored the fact that Old Ye insulted his family.

"If that is the case, gentleman, we won't delay your precious time; get the divorce papers and remind your granddaughter to sign them. My grandson signed them a few weeks ago when she signed them, please return them so we can process the divorce finality," Old Anderson said with a grin. He didn't care who came to start the divorce; what matters is that he has achieved his goal.

A servant brought the partly signed divorce papers from the house and handed them over to Old Ye, taking them from the servant. Old Ye looked at the Andersons coldly and said, "You will regret it."

The moment he turned around, all the Andersons and their servants burst into laughter.

"Poverty really messes with the brain," Old Anderson snorted in disdain. He didn't expect the young lunatic to spout such nonsense.

Old Ye had the thought of turning around and smacking them all dead with a palm strike but decided against it; he would torture them to death slowly.

He took the divorce papers and returned home to meet Jenny and John.
