Ethan looked around and he could see all sort of human bodies hanged up and down on a roll. Sandra looked at him and her face went pale. " Are they going to eat us?" She asked with her eyes watery. " I don't know Sandra. Look around you and tell me what you see." Ethan said slowly with his head bowed to the floor. He tried to look around but the place was dark. " I won't sweat that much if I were you." A voice said from behind them. " Who are you?" Sandra asked as she cried.
" Did you see that? I bet you did. That was my daughter's head." The voice said shifting Ethan and Sandra's gaze towards the little light shwoing the abbatoir room ' What?" Sandra said slowly and began to unrinate on herself. " Yes, she was killed yesterday and featsed on." The voice said again echoing through the dark room " Is there a way out of here?" Ethan asked trying to see if there was. " My friend, We are all going to die. Don't you get it. It is only a matter of time before your head find it way into thier pot of soup. I am Felix by the way." The voice finally introduced himself ' What brings you here Felix?" Ethan asked "The same reason that brought you here, mate. I wanted sanctuary and they offered that to me. I should have known they were monsters." Felix said in anger. " The door opened and Commander Derek walked in. " I hope you have met your new acquittance." He said laughing. " Why are you doing this?" Ethan asked with a sad tone. " It doesn't have to be like this. We just wanted a place to Kay our head and some hot meal." Derek looked at his friend and they all luaghed. " And why would I do that? All I see is meat, Why would I each garbages when there is meat. Grab her!" Derek looked at one of his friends and they grabbed the girl beside, Sandra. She screamed as she was dragged by her hair out of the dungeon they were locked in. Ethan felt scared, he still need to find his sister. The thought of dying without seeing her once more was all he could think about. He remembered how they had fought and she had to pack away to go and live on her own. He wouldn't forgive himself if he ever had to due without seeing her. " You need to let the system in, Ethan. That is the only way we can get out of here." Sandra pleaded with Ethan " Do you think I would like to be supper in the pot of soup? I don't have control over the system alright. It isn't a switch I have to on and off. It comes to me when I am in danger." Ethan replied " Then why don't you be in one? That way the syetem would come to you. What system are you taking about though?" Felix paused, staring into the darkness as if he could see Ethan where he sat. " I can't describe it. It gives me some specific instructions and tell me what to do. In return, I am giving anything of my choice. Weapon, food, anything." Ethan replied The rook wa silent once again. " You need to get some sleep. We are going to be taken out to work in the gardens tomorrow." Felix told them and laid down to sleep. Sandra who had been weary from their last fight with Darren forgot she was nothing but sack of meat and went to sleep but Ethan couldn't sleep. He needed to find a way out of the mess they were in. If only, the system would come again. He knew he couldn't take on Derek alone. Getting to thier base, Ethan had seen how the men were loyal to him. He remembered his days back in force and know how his men were wiling to die for him. It could be seen in Thier faces and eyes. Derek's men have the same look. Time flew by and the door was open the next day sending a harsh sensation into Ethan's eyes. " Get up!" A voice shouted at them and they all stood up feeling scared. " Don't be sacred, You are going to work on the farm." A soldier said with a devilish smile on his face. Ethan and the rest of the men and women were lined up and dragged away to the farm. Ethan tried to look around for any possible escape route but he wasn't seeing any. " Concentrate," A voice said behind him and a whip fell to his back. Ethan managed to catch the view of Derek staring at him and the back of a young woman who was seated with her hands tied to the back. Ethan could tell the look of his sister just by her hair and for a reason the hair was sending him a vibe he couldn't shake up. " It can't be? Is that, Rachel?" he said slowly to himself and one of the soldiers walked closer to him " What did you say?" He asked with his gun pointed at his face " My feet, it is stucked." Ethan lied showing him his feet that got trapped inside a hole. The soldier called one of his friends to help him hold his gun while he help Ethan pull his feet up. Getting closer to Ethan, he quickly head butt him and knock him off his feet. He grabbed him by the neck and shouted to Derek. ' You can let us all go or u swear to god I am going to kill him." Ethan shouted as the soldier grabbed their guns pointed at him Derek walked away from the lady seated Infront of him an smiled. " Seeing how you managed to disarm my men showed you are skillful. No doubt, you must be a soldier." He said with a smile. " Every life here matters, you see. I don't kill except when necessary." He said with a smile on his face, telling his men to lower thier guns. " Exactly, just let us go and we can forget this never happened. I won't come here and we don't need to meet ever again. I promise." Ethan said with his hand around the soldiers neck. The people stopped working looking at him. Before Ethan could say another word, Derek brought out his gun and shoot. The soldier fell down from Ethan's grip and his face went pale. " Have him prep up and have that one locked aside. We are going to have him killed lastly." Derek pointed at Ethan Ethan was dragged away from Sandra as she clawed at him. " Stop!" Derek shouted seeing what was going on. " Is he your husband?" He looked at Sandra and then back at Ethan, who was now looking sacred. " No, no," Ethan shouted " Have her prepared. I want her heart served on my table tonight." Derek instructed and walked away. Sandra was pulled apart from Ethan. A picture fell from her clothes as they dragged her away. Ethan looked at Derek and his eyes showed he was going to have him killed. He looked at the lady who had her hand tied to the chair and still couldn't see her face. Ethan was thrown into a separate room and the door was locked. He looked around him and the loud snarl of the zombies was heard. His heart thud faster trying to see if he could see but he couldn't. " You don't need to be scared
The sound of the gun and bulet flew across the room as Ethan and his friends tried to get out of the room. "Don't let them go!" Derek shouted at his men, but the horror going on inside the room was terrifying. Marcus and Ethan managed to clear a path as they ran out of the door. Marcus closed the door behind them, and the loud noise of screams and horror filled the room. Sometimes, the noise died down, and Marcus quickly went to have the rest of the prisoners relaesed. They gathered around and killed the rest of the soldiers. "I would burn that if I were you." A man said this, looking at Ethan. "Burn the corpse? Why?" Ethan asked, with his head carefully bandaged by Rachel. "Just do as he says." A woman replied The corpses were immediately torched. The zombies were all killed and burned. Ethan sat down and looked at Rachel. "I am sorry it took me a long time to finally come get you. I am sorry." He said it gently. Rachel said nothing but simply hugged him. Ethan looked up, and anoth
Ethan shouted at the walkie-talkie he was holding. "Is anybody there? Marcus! Sandra! Can you hear me?" he shouted, hitting the table in frustration. "What the hell is going on?" Johnny looked at Ethan's face and didn't understand what was going on. "The zombies—did we burn them?" He asked, taking a part of the vile and strapping his back to his bag. "I don't think we did. We had them buried." Johnny replied "Then we are fucked." Ethan said this under his breath as he walked towards the exit. Johnny ran to his front and immediately blocked his path. "Are you trying to get us killed? I think you need to tell us anything if there is something wrong." He said, looking at but being thrown off by Ethan's reaction. Back in his youth, Ethan had always gone on solo operations. He was better, faster, and could concentrate when he was alone. He doesn't need the help of any teammate, and he has always done fine on his own. He drew Johnny towards him and looked into his eyes. "Did I ask you t
Ethan walked up to the body parts right in front of him and almost hauled at the site of what he saw. "Can you think of anyone who would do this?" he asked, looking at Clara and back at Johnny. "I wish I knew, but right now, we are just as clueless as you are." Johnny replied "My family." Clara said it with a scared face as she ran towards her home. "Go; we don't know who else might be around." Ethan looked at Johnny, asking him to follow Clara. Johnny ran after Clara, who had her gun pointed in all directions as she walked. "What do you think happened?" Johnny's voice was in hush whispers as he moved closer to her. "I don't know. What did he tell you?" Clara lowered her gun a little, looking at Johnny, who was keeping his eyes open. "He didn't say much. I think he found out something at the hospital and radioed immediately, but no one was answering." Johnny replied The door creaked open, and they both fired a round at the door. Ethan heard the sound of a gunshot and immediately
Ethan looked back behind him and saw the figure moving and getting closer. He immediately drew out his bow as the two men looked at him. He shot an invisible arrow to his disbelief, and it hit the zombie. The creature snarled on the floor as the men watched. "I am here to look for my sister and friend too. Who the hell are you guys?" Ethan asked, trying to come back to his senses. "I am here to find my wife." The man said it again, but with a soft voice this time around. "I am sure they must have been taken by someone or something," Ethan replied. The men looked at themselves, releasing Clara and Johnny. "What are you not telling us? If you know something, then you need to spill it. We don't know what is going on at the moment. One minute later, we were out to get some food supply as we could get back to this." The other men said it again."The zombies are now getting wise, I think." Ethan paused as he looked at the zombie he shot. He got back up to his feet. "That is impossible." Et
Johnny and Fred kept walking, trying to look for a clue that would tell them where their families had been taken too. They had seen that Derek and the rest of the soldiers had dug their way out of the ground. "What exactly are we looking for?" Johnny looked at Fred. "We need to find anything that would tell us what really happened here." Fred replied "Do you think the zombie did this?" Johnny said, looking a little bit taken back. "I don't know, kid." Fred scratched his head, trying to think of something. They were about to walk back to meet Ethan and Clara when they heard a squeak at the door. "Sh..shh...hh." Fred looked at Johny. Both of them immediately went under the table and stayed quiet. The loud snarl of the zombie could be heard as it tried to find its way out of the room. Suddenly, it made a snarl, and she walked out of the room. "We need to follow it." Fred said, looking at Johnny. "What do you mean, follow it? Are you seriously thinking about killing yourself?" Johnny
Ethan looked towards the door and back at Clara and Johnny, who were scared out of their wits. "You both need to be ready for anything that comes through that door." He said, rolling up his long sleeve. Johnny brought out the pistol in his pocket and checked to see how many rounds he was having. "Do you have anything to defend yourself with?" Ethan looked back to see Clara, who was still shaken by everything that was happening. The loud bang continued, but Ethan wasn't fazed. He was a soldier, and he had seen the worst. He walked to Clara and shook her violently. "If what comes through that door meets you cowering like this, you are dead. Do you want to see your sister again?" He asked, staring at her blue face. Clara nodded, and her hands were a little slippery from the sweat her palms were secreting. "Okay, good. Then you need to fight. That is the only way we are going to get out of here alive. Am I clear on that?" He shouted at Johnny. "And you, make that count." He pointed at
"We can't just leave him and run." Clara said she was not wanting to get into the van. "We are going to come back for him. You heard him when he asked us to go!" Johnny shouted at her and pushed her into the van. The van drove off as the snarl of the zombies got louder. Ethan looked down and saw they had left. He carefully stood up and looked at Darren. "I am going to kill you again, and this time you are going to stay dead." He said it with anger. "I will like to see you try." Darren said with a snarl. The two engaged in a fight, Ethan tried with all his might trying to fight for his life but Darren was stronger, faster and more deadly than Ethan was. He was no longer the weak soldier Ethan knew him to be As they fought, Ethan remembered that the system had told him his blood was the key to stopping the virus, but he doesn't know how. The sky lit up with a flare all of a sudden, making the zombies all gaze up into the sky. Ethan quickly used that opportunity to grip Darren. He trie
