Chapter 391

“How’s she?” Mr. Jacob demanded.

His wife shook her head and passed him the cup of coffee she just made for him. They moved away from the kitchen counter and entered the living room.

“I think she needs time.” Mrs. Jacobs replied.

Mr. Jacobs looked down the corridor leading to Avery’s room and sighed. “Well, she has to get over it. I’ve already started making arrangements for her post-graduate studies.”

“Give her a break!” Mrs. Jacobs flared up. She palmed her forehead with her left hand and shook her head.

“It’s been two weeks.”

Mrs. Jacobs looked up to her husband with a tired expression. “I don’t think two weeks is enough for her to forget that boy or accept the fact that she’s in London and has to move on.”

Mr. Jacob took a sip of his coffee and dumped the cup on the table. He then reached for his coat from the couch. “Just ensure she’s in a good state by next week. She needs to leave that room and start school.”
