“What does he mean, this is a joke, right?”

They were all murmuring among themselves, their voices filled with panic. Jake looked around, his eyes moving from everyone, the look on their faces was enough to tell him about the people who had insulted him.

The manager was the one that was taken aback the most but he quickly composed himself before Jake laid his eyes on him.

He quickly cleared his throat, “Congratulations sir,” he said, beaming with a smile, his hand stretched forward for a handshake.

Jake looked down at his hand in disgust, he slipped his hand into his pockets and raised his head to look at him, his eyes were dark and cold, and his lips stretched into a cold smile.

He pulled his hand out of his pocket and accepted the handshake, gripping his hand tight, he closed the gap between them and whispered in his ear, “I guess you already know what to do or do you need me to remind you about it?”
