Teras: the deadly game of cards

"Becka come quickly I have to help him"

he said in a panic, Becka was a bit confused but  she figured out what she had to do quickly

"Place him down, I can help him"

Teras did what he was told, Becka's hands emitted a green light and the bunny was slowly getting healed, few seconds passed and the bunny was as good as new but it fell asleep

"Thank you so much!"

he said while kneeling down on his knees

"Stand up kid you have a lot to learn, oh and kid for you it's Ms. Becka, if you call me Becka again I'm going to cut this tongue of yours, got it?"

"Yes ma'am"

"Good now come with me I will take you to hell"

she said with a sweet smile that scared Teras, Teras then stood up

"Let me take the bunny inside so it doesn't catch a cold"

it was something stupid to do, at the time the temperature was really high even though the sun was set

"Fine but make it quick"

Teras then grabbed the bunny and ran to Tokkou's room, he placed the bunny on his desk and covered it with a blanket up to its head, he left some room for it so it could breath, after that Teras run back to the backyard

"Took you long enough, now let's go"

Becka said, Teras apologized and then followed Becka to wherever she was going, turns out Becka was heading into a small building that was made out of some kind of stone, Teras thought that it was kind of strange but didn't question it, reason being that Becka would probably get mad at him

"This is the room you will spend more of your time training, this room is made of a special type of rock that helps you control mana also your mana regeneration is faster"

Teras was amused, there were so many useful material that he didn't know they existed

"So first of all I want you to answer some questions so I know what level you are at mana control, I know you haven't used mana ever but you these will still help you"

Teras nodded in agreement, so Becka started asking

"What do you want to do with mana?"

"I want to become stronger in order to protect myself"

He replied , Becka wrote it down on a note book, that confused Teras but he didn't really mind it

"How many questions are there"

Teras asked 

"I ask the questions not you, so answer me before I leave"

Becka replied in an agry tone

"Okay fine ask!"

Teras said to calm her down

"Have you ever killed a person?"

'what are these questions for anyway?'

Teras wondered

"N-No"

he replied, Becka wrote it down and continued

"Are you planning to kill someone in the future?"

'Does she think I'm someone bad or something?'

he thought

"Ms.Becka sorry for being rude but how do these questions have anything to do with mana?"

Becka raised her hands quickly, and a chunk of the ground around Teras raised, Teras was caught in Becka's earth power, Teras couldn't move a muscle, Becka then approached Teras and punched him

"Don't play dump you bastard! I know what you are after"

Teras was confused, he didn't remember doing anything bad during the day

"What are you talking about Mrs.Becka?"

Becka punched him again

"If you don't tell me for who you work for fast I will crush you right here and know"

"I'm telling you, I don't know what are you talking about"

"Lies!!! I saw you on your way back, this was the movement of an assassin, also in the arena, you easily won a mana user with no power at all, but the fact that gave it all out was something that happened yesterday, I went to my master's room because of his order and what do I see? A half-dead child sitting down on a destroyed wall, do you think that someone with 0 mana control could survive master's attack? the answer is no!"

Teras was confused, but once he thought all about all of the things that Becka said he found it logical for Becka to believe that he is an assassin but he was angry because he was accused of trying to murder someone he considered close

"I would never do such a thing to my only friend!"

Becka didn't expect this kind of answer but she still didn't believe Teras, the facts she had gathered showed more than enough evidence that Teras was an assassin, her thoughts were disturbed by a voice, and with it came a massive amount of pressure on the air

"Release him now Becka!"

it was Tokkou, he was angry, Becka was surprised, he was supposed to be at the town's bar enjoying some fresh wine

"M-Master as you see I have captured an assassin..."

she said in a trembling voice

"Nonsense, Teras isn't an assassin, he is just some guy that I found in the woods and brought him here"

"B-But he has surely shown some talent that a common person could never possess"

"You are true, Teras has a talent for fighting, but does it make him an assassin? I don't think so Becka, just so you know I chose you to teach Teras about mana because I thought of you as my best most well-trusted maid I have, in my surprise, this seems to be false"

Becka was shocked, the person she looked up to the most just admitted that he trusted her, Tokkou in the past when Becka was still a teenager rescued her family and her from a group of slave sellers and suggested that she could work for him to repay him for what he did for her and her family , Becka agreed, not because she thought of it as a fair trade but she fell deeply in love with Tokkou, he was someone that freed her from years of torment and he unleashed her from her prison and opened her wings to freedom, she started to cry after remembering all that Tokkou did for her in the past, she felt stupid and was also angry at herself

"Master I deeply apologize, I was blinded by the danger I felt, I wasn't trying to make you angry, I just wanted to make sure you were safe, that's all! please forgive me!"

she said as she was sobbing

"It's alright I know you didn't have an ill motive Becka"

he said as he hugged her, Becka then started to break down, Tokkou then helped her get to her room, he place her on her bed because she had collapsed, Tokkou didn't know the reason but the truth is that she fainted because of mixed feelings, her body couldn't really process the huge amount of sadness, happiness and angriness at the same time, she felt bad for the things she had done but also felt really excited because she was holding the hand and was hugging her loved one, Tokkou then returned at Teras and tried to free him from the trap Becka placed him

"It's about time you came from me, it is not like I'm getting crushed by rocks or anything"

he said ironically

"Oh shut up, don't whine like a little child she was really sad, I couldn't really let her be could I?"

Tokkou then removed the rocks around Teras and helped him get to his room since Teras's leg was injured

"I heard everything, you called me a friend"

Tokkou said with a funny smug on his face

"Shut up, why did you even brought it up?" 

he replied with a blush on his face

"Don't get me wrong, I can't remember the last time someone called me a friend, so I appreciate you for thinking of me like that"

Teras was surprised but he didn't say anything he just enjoyed the walk with Tokkou, then a thought hit him

"Can't you just fly me to my room?"

"I could but it wouldn't be any fun if I did this"

he said with a smile

"Teras don't worry about what happened today, I will have a talk with Becka tomorrow so when you wake up get yourself something to eat and come to the backyard again"

"Tokkou please don't punish her it really wasn't something serious"

Teras said anxiously, Tokkou blasted out laughing

"Haha, I won't hurt her or something! What kind of tyrant do you take me for? "

he said while laughing, this made Teras even more blushful, In the end, Teras got to his room and he lay down on his bed, he slowly fell asleep in this dark and quiet night

"What are you doing?"

said a shadowy figure

"You are wasting your time you have to find them, he will not wait for you, so quickly get back on your feet and don't stop! you should find them and put an end to this circle of hatred! Because only YOU can! don't ever forget that!"

Teras woke up, he was full of sweat he felt heavy, the whole world was moving around for him

"What was that?"

he asked himself out loud, indeed, what was that?
