"Caroline? That's an interesting coincidence." Luke thinks to himself. "I guess it's a pretty common name nowadays." Luke states absent mindedly while gazing at his hands. "What's common? Is there a problem?" Ella asks as she notices the confused look on Luke's face. "Uh no, I was just thinking about your friend. She just so happens to share the same name as my cousin. I just didn't realize how common of a name it was." Luke responds while trying not to look embarrassed as he realizes how dumb that sounded. "Hmm, I don't really think Caroline is that common of a name around here. Are you sure it's not the same person?" Beth asks curiously before adding with an amused grin "I'm kidding! there's no way such a coincidence is possible." Although she had said that, Luke couldn't shake the idea from his mind. "Could it really just be a coincidence?" Luke clears his throat before speaking again, this time with a bit more confidence in his voice. "Can you remember what she looked like?"
The two of them walk back into the playroom where the children are still playing around like usual. Most of The kids seem oblivious to Beth and Luke's arrival as they continue their games and activities. Only a few of them notice them and give them curious looks before returning to their games. "These are all of my children right here." Beth explains to him as she gestures towards several different groups of kids that are scattered throughout the room. "There's about thirty five of them total so, It shouldn't be difficult to find a good match for you and Ella." "Thank you, I should probably bring her back in though. It would be bad to make a decision like this without her. " "Of course, of course! Go ahead and bring her back." Beth responds excitedly as she watches Luke leave. "Mom! What is this about adopting a child! What made you think this was a good idea?" Ella asks with a confused expression as she enters the room in a hurry. "Your hubby wants to support the orphanage and w
The two lovers enter into the bathroom and lock the door behind themselves. Luke places Ella on the counter while he begins to remove his clothing and shoes. Ella watches intently as his clothes come off piece by piece, until he reaches the bottom of his boxers and begins to strip those off. Once nude, Luke steps closer towards Ella and begins to caress her bare skin while giving her some light kisses here and there. Ella giggles a little at her new lover's boldness and playful nature as she leans forward and kisses him deeply. Soon they begin to make out passionately once more as they step into the large and lavish bathtub. Once inside, Luke takes a seat and allows Ella to lay back against him in the warm water, allowing it to wash over her body. She closes her eyes and relaxes completely for a moment. turning her head to face Luke, She smiles widely as she catches a glimpse of him smiling with his arms wrapped around her thin waist. "You seem quite content" Ella says with a small
Reading the paper, Luke looks at the clock and sighs. It's already 11 am in the morning and he was hoping that he could sleep a few more hours before heading off to work, but alas. Turning towards the window, Luke sees that the sky outside is gray as the clouds clutter the atmosphere above him, blocking out the sun. "Looks like rain to me." Luke mutters while he walks over towards his bedside table and opens the drawer, pulling out a pair of dark blue jeans and brown button-up shirt. As he pulls them on, he notices that Ella is still asleep soundly in the bed next to him, curled up in a ball as if she hadn't moved all night long. Luke smiles and watches her sleeping peacefully before walking out of his room and forcing himself to head into the office. As he walks through the office building, Luke takes in his surroundings. He takes note of all of the hard work his employees have put forth in order to keep his business running smoothly. Progress was moving smoothly on his 'Concert'
Luke waits out the rain for another hour when the sound of the drizzle begins to lessen. Hearing the silence in the air, Luke pulls his face out from the blinding light of his cellphone and takes a look at the sky again. After waiting several minutes longer, he decides that it would probably be a good idea to make his move before the sky has a chance to start another round. Getting out of his car, Luke strides towards the entrance of the expansive company, noticing immediately how warm and humid the air inside of the building feels compared to outside. Stepping past the automatic doors and into the spacious foyer, Luke confronts the receptionist while making sure to make note of his identity as a Castellan. It was an easy feat to sway the hands of others if they were aware of how important he was. Or at least, they would think he was important. "Good evening Mr. Castellan, Allow me to check in on Ms. Veneran." The woman says politely as she reaches for her phone before typing away.
"Why-" "Why don't you leave the girl alone!" Luke is cut off by the young voice of a girl who angrily storms in from the back of the shop. Her hair is short with a jet black color. He bangs hang loosely over her shoulders as she marches up right beside the man that was trying to intimidate the worker. "Who do you think you are to shout in one of my stores! Just look at yourself, wearing that ridiculous and awful clothes!" She scoffs while pointing her finger right at him as he turns his glare towards her. "You're such an embarrassment to humanity, you know that?" "I'll have you know that this is an extremely expensive outfit." He says before looking down at her with a sneer on his face. "I'm not some idiot who doesn't know how to dress myself properly." The woman rolls her eyes at the man's comment while examining his and his partner's attire. "Ugh, both of you are just so tacky! Did you really leave the house like that or did someone force you into those clothes? To think that yo
"So as I was saying before you threatened to murder me, I happened to come across the orphanage that you attended before becoming a Veneran. I don't know why my aunt did this but I honestly couldn't care less. The only reason that I have seeked you out is because of a friend of mine. You might remember her. She was also one of the children that lived there although I don't believe that she was ever adopted as you were." "Who is this friend of yours? And why would they want you to meet with me? You seem to have forgotten that I don't exactly want anything to do with you." "Yeah, Yeah I get it. Anyways, her name is Ella." Caroline raises her brow at the name. "Ella? Is she that cute little blondie?" Luke smiles at her comment before answering. "Yep, exactly. I knew that you would remember her. I heard from the headmistress that you, her, and another girl named Aria were inseparable." "That's right. I guess you could say that we were basically joined by the hip. At least, that's how
The small red stamped letters written in a familiar hand cause his blood to boil within seconds while his body goes numb. "You were given a chance to take back your life. If you do not have the resolve to do so, We will be more than willing to provide you with the proper motivation. "Do not disappoint us again." With that, the note simply ends without its usual signature. Attached to the note was a small photo containing a group of unidentified men in dark suits standing in a populated area along with several others. Looking closer, Luke could see the image of Ella and Aria within the background. They were seemingly unaware of the group of men following them. A chill runs down Luke's spine as he stares into the photograph. "You bastards!" Luke Slams open the front door and rushes inside the house, calling out for Ella or Aria. But neither answer their calls. He searches around the first floor, looking for them everywhere, but nothing seems to indicate where they could be. Luke he
