"Hello, remember me, congratulations, happy death day" Felix said slowly spitting every word to the man who had caused trouble for him in the weapons shop before slitting his throat cleanly ending his life immediately.

After slitting his throat, Felix let the body drop. He then proceeded to wipe the blood off his dagger before searching the body. He discovered a book and a white crystal after the search.

"Hmm this book, it looks like.." Felix said trying to open the book but he couldn't. It seemed to be sealed shut like it was glued, after laying his eyes on it once again, he sort of remembered that he had seen it somewhere, he tried to remember where he had seen it, but somehow he couldn't.

Seeing as it was a waste of time, he placed the book in his dimension ring and observed the white crystal.

"Ding"

[System has discovered a low-level rune crystal in the possession of host]

[Does the host wish to extract the rune]

[Yes/No]

"Rune crystal, hmm, that's why it looked so familiar then it means that the book is a basic rune book, yes extract" Felix said with a smile giving the initiative to the system, with a burst of bright light, the extraction started.

"Why is it so slow, it takes almost 1 minute for it to increase by 1%, I guess I won't be hearing from it anytime soon, well, now I'm going to pay your father a visit" Felix said with furrowed brows as he realized how slow the extraction process was.

He also placed it in his dimension Ring and glanced at the body of the man he just killed, a grin spreading across his face, it felt good to wipe out trash like this. With a swift motion, he placed the body in his dimension space and left.

In the huge room containing the powerhouses of the continent, the silver-cloaked man sat comfortably on a chair awaiting the decisions of the Espers.

"Don't just stand there, I'm awaiting your decision, I give you 5 minutes to make your decision otherwise I will take it that you have chosen the second proposal" The silver cloaked man said arrogantly while staring at the others.

"Hahaha, who do you think you are? No matter how strong you are, in the face of 6 SS rank Espers and 1 SSS rank Esper, I don't believe we can't defeat you" Shadow snapped out of his daze and got up, his aura flaring out like a tidal wave towards the silver cloaked man who remained calm.

"Sit down child, I wouldn't even need to lift a finger to decimate a billion of you, you can try but I warn you that I won't go easy on you" The silver cloaked man said indifferently with a mocking tone, following which a strange voice blasted Shadow into his chair, his eyes full of shock after he realized that he couldn't even move, this action incited a little ge reaction from the others.

What power was this?

He hadn't even moved, all it took was words to suppress Shadow who was definitely not the weakest among them.

"Before we can make a decision, we need to know if you are a friend or foe" Alexander suddenly coughed breaking the awkward and tense atmosphere in the room, his eyes moving towards the center of attraction in the room.

"Hmm interesting, well I am neither your friend nor your foe, yet I am willing to extend my help to you because I believe we have a common enemy, the demons" The silver cloaked man said calmly, spitting out the words "demons" like it was poison

After speaking, a suffocating pressure suddenly burst out from The silver-cloaked man enveloping the room but it disappeared immediately.

"It calms me to know that you are willing to help but it also surprises me that you think the demons are behind this, from your tone, I can see that you harbor a great dislike towards the demons" The Emperor sighed and took a seat, which caused the others to follow suit.

"Did you think that the non-humans stood a chance against you, hahaha, they know that so why will they intentionally take such actions against you, they will only do that if they have someone powerful backing them, and who do you think will help them?" The silver-cloaked man asked with a laugh, making it seem like the answer was obvious.

"The demons" The Emperor replied in realization as everything made sense.

"The question remains, are you willing to work with me?" The silver-cloaked man asked calmly, his tone becoming serious.

"First you have to prove your strength to us before we can agree" Shadow replied arrogantly, it seemed like he hadn't learned from his previous mistake.

"That sounds funny coming from someone who couldn't stand against my words, but I guess you're right, so which of you is it going to be?" The silver-cloaked man asked, relaxing back on the chair like the challenge wasn't even worth taking seriously.

"I'll do it, but don't expect me to go easy on you" Blake got up and approached the silver-cloaked man, his eyebrows furrowed in annoyance.

"Hahaha, did you really think that I was the one you were going to fight, you are not worthy enough, my disciple will fight you, but a word of advice, don't underestimate him" The silver cloaked man said waving his hand for a handsome red-haired young man to appear.

The red-haired man was so handsome that he looked like a divine being, his hair was blood red and it radiated a strong intent of fire which caused even Blake who was the strongest fire manipulation Esper in the continent to step back.

"If you can last more than 4 moves against him, I will consider it our failure" The silver cloaked man arrogantly said, his eyes glowing as they all appeared in a huge field with a thick concentration of mana.

"Such thick concentration of mana essence, he has an independent dimension, who is he?" The emperor said in shock as he glanced around the dimension which had an assortment of flowers that were rare even in the continent, in the end, he decided that it was an illusion.

"Are you so arrogant that you will not consider giving me even a little face, you have only considered yourself winning, but what if I win?"Blake said with a grin, taking a step forward which caused the surroundings to suddenly become hot, every step he took made the terrifying intent of fire become even stronger.

"4 moves is already giving you face, if you win them I will give you this SS rank Golden Furred Winged Flaming Panther's core, I believe you know how valuable this is" The silver cloaked man's hand glowed causing a golden core to appear which radiated a strong intent of fire.

'That is...If I can get this core then I may be able to move to the SS+ rank, but for him to place such a valuable bet, it means that he has absolute confidence that I will lose, hmmp, I'll prove him wrong' Blake stared wide-eyed at the beast core, his thoughts spinning around in his mind. He knew how valuable the Core was for him a Fire element practioner, that could increase his strength by leaps and bounds.

"Are you ready?" Blake asked the red-haired youth with a smile, his thoughts and goals were clear, he would win at all costs, to get the core and get back at the Silver-cloaked man.

"Always am "The red-haired youth answered indifferently before rushing forward, summoning flaming snakes that danced around his hands like pets.

Blake also summoned a huge flaming snake which rushed towards the red-haired youth. When compared to his huge flaming snake, the little flaming snake looked amusing but Blake never underestimated the power of the red-haired youth, because he could sense the amount of power compressed within those little flaming snakes.

As he approached within 10 feet of the huge flaming snake, the red-haired youth thrust out his arms forward, this shot the little snakes towards the huge flaming snake as merged with each other increasing in size.

After thrusting the snakes forward, the red-haired youth rushed after the two snakes.

As the huge snake collided with the small snake, a surprising scene occurred, instead of getting destroyed, the small snake instead devoured the huge snake increasing its size and power.

Blake's pupils shrunk after seeing this, he was shocked but he quickly recovered knowing that he was still in the midst of battle.

The snakes quickly rushed towards Blake who closed both eyes and took a deep breath, when he opened them, his eyes glowed like a blazing red flame as pillars of flames appeared around him which merged to form a huge spear that delivered a scorching heat that destroyed all the flowers around it, the temperature increased significantly causing the ground to turn black.

"What? Blake is actually using this skill now, it looks like he wants to end this battle quickly but to be able to force him to use this skill, this red-haired youth is really strong" Frost recognized Blake's skill and was shocked, he and Blake were good friends since childhood so he was aware of the extent of his skills.

After seeing the huge spear, the red-haired youth smiled as he ordered the snake to move faster, like he was confident enough to finish him off with that. When Blake saw this, his lips curled upward forming a smile as he directed the huge spear toward the snake and shot it forward.

'This boy underestimates me, to clash head-on with my mystic flaming spear' Blake thought staring at the huge snake which was only a few meters from the spear. The skill he just used was a cultivation skill that was passed through his family, it made use of the pure fire essence core in his body to condense a flaming spear.

The power of the spear wasn't to be underestimated, he had cultivated it to the peak and it's power was capable of tearing a SS rank purple scaled two-headed alligator to shreds but the only problem was it's huge energy consumption, him using this skill signified that he intended to end the battle immediately but the red-haired youth had charged head on to clash with the spear, this was similar to rushing to his death.

When the huge snake was around 5 feet away from the spear, it suddenly changed shape and turned into a thick flaming wall, when the spear struck it, it paused for a little while and lost some of its radiance before crushing the wall and resuming its advance towards the red-haired youth, whose expression changed slightly and returned to normal.

The red-haired youth then smiled, out of nowhere his aura suddenly erupted destroying the surrounding, and showcasing it's power, he then clapped his hands once which released a powerful shockwave that shot forward like an earthquake, destroying the ground as it moved.

The speed was so fast that it arrived before the spear in an instant, when the two met, the shockwave split the spear into two, then disintegrated the split spear before continuing it's advance towards Blake, who stared in shock watching the approaching attack, he now understood the difference in power between them, he could sense that the shockwave would destroy him if it touched him.

By the time he recovered enough for him to think to dodge, it was too late and the attack was already before him, so he closed his eyes and waited for the pain. But after waiting for some seconds, he realized that nothing had happened and that was when he heard a cold voice.

"You have lost" The red-haired youth said with an emotionless voice, Blake opened his eyes to see him standing before him.

When did he even appear?

How could he move so fast?

Blake was still speechless when, the red-haired youth turned and walked towards the silver-cloaked man who waved his hand, causing them to appear back in the room they were in originally.

"Are you convinced now or do you still want more proof?" The silver-cloaked man asked taking out the beast's core with a smile, he already knew the answer to his question.

"I am sorry for my previous arrogance, you are more than worthy enough to be our ally" Blake said respectfully as he made a martial bow to the both of them, he was now fully brought to speed about the disparity in their strength, he was humble enough to admit this, and this made the silver-cloaked man nod.

"Take this as a symbol of my friendship, if you had acted arrogantly then I would never have gifted this to you, but you aren't proud, instead you know you're weak and aren't too proud to admit it, in this world the strong rule over the weak, it has been like this since the beginning of time and it will continue to be like this" The silver cloaked man said throwing the beast core to Blake who caught it in surprise, although these words may seem ruthless on the surface, they were words spoken from the heart and they were the truth, facts couldn't be twisted.

"The demons will not make a move now, because according to my sources, in a few years there will be an all-out war between humans and demons, they are just trying to weaken the human forces before then, because of that I am willing to extend my help to you, I will provide you with resources to use to cultivate talents within the continent, of course this is just a tip of the iceberg, oh and in three days, I will be back to help you seal the portal" The silver cloaked man said then threw a dimension ring to the emperor who caught it.

"How strong are you?" Frost asked curiously as the silver-cloaked man turned to leave, his mind was in a total mess, he just watched this man's disciple defeat his childhood friend who was as strong as him, and that was just his disciple whose strength they couldn't even determine, so what about the master himself, this was the thought that bothered him the most.

"Do you know of the realms above the SSS rank?" The silver-cloaked man asked indirectly answering the question.

"No, but I have heard stories about it" Frost answered with shock, he couldn't even wrap his mind around it, based on the stories he had heard, he knew that the man before him was an existence he couldn't afford to cross.

"Then you don't need to know about it" The silver cloaked man said turning around once again.

"Why are you helping us?" Alexander asked with a curious look.

"Because I don't want your people to end up like mine" The silver cloaked man said as he paused and then waved his hand causing he and the red-haired youth to disappear leaving the Espers in shock.

"What the..." The emperor suddenly exclaimed after he looked into the dimension ring the silver-cloaked man gave to him.

Meanwhile, Felix had moved through a series of alleys and had appeared in front of a huge mansion, there were several E and E+ ranks patrolling the surroundings, this was where the proud man he just killed resided.

"Hmm, 4 E ranks and 3 E+ ranks outside and maybe more inside, this is going to be tricky but this will serve as a refresher for the main course" Felix smiled evilly as he blended into the shadows and approached the mansion, 'by main course:, he meant the D rank Esper.

He walked slowly as he activated camouflage and approached an E-rank Esper who was taking a piss, he snuck up behind him and clasped his mouth shut with the dagger around his throat taking him into camouflage.

"Answer my questions and I'll let you live" Felix whispered coldly into the ears of the E-rank Esper, unleashed a little of his killing intent to pressure him.

"Yessss, please don't kill me, I'm begging you" The E rank Esper said with fear as he burst into tears, his wife was sick and he had searched for a job for so long before he was just employed a few days ago, and now someone had come here trying to kill him, he wasn't afraid of death but he was thinking of what would happen to his wife if he died, if Felix had known what he was thinking by now he would probably faint.

"Hey, hey what's your name?" Felix asked in a gentle voice after hearing the man's cries, from this he knew that this man was inexperienced in this type of work, just a little bit of killing intent had frightened him so much.

"My..my name is Dave" The man replied when he heard Felix's gentle words, his tears immediately seized.

"Okay Dave, I am a man of my word, if you tell me what I need to know, then I won't kill you, understand?" Felix asked the man who grew embarrassed, he nodded in reply.

"Okay now, how many guards are inside the mansion?" Felix asked the man with the dagger still to his neck, he couldn't take any chances.

"There are 8 guards inside and all of them are E+ ranks" The man answered truthfully.

"Okay good, is your master in the mansion?" Felix asked.

"Yes he is, he said he was undertaking a very serious business, so he shouldn't be disturbed" The man replied and afterwards felt Felix release his grip on his neck, he was about to breathe out in relief when the next moment, he felt a huge force slam into the back of his head making him lose consciousness.

"Sorry Dave, this is for your good, you shouldn't be here to see what's about to happen next" Felix said quietly as he lay the man in the shadows, it wasn't his mentality to hurt someone innocent, he might be cold-hearted sometimes, but that was only because the world didn't give him a chance to be good, he was raised in a place where weakness wasn't a choice.

"Now where does a D rank Esper get the money to hire all these bodyguards and why hire so much, unless you're hiding something, hmm it seems like something strange is going on in this mansion" Felix said suspiciously, his guy told him that there was something fishy going on, he swiftly made a plan then took out 3 daggers and walked slowly towards the remaining Espers outside.

As the Espers were patrolling around the mansion, 3 daggers flew out of the shadows and struck the E+ rank Espers, hitting their vital points and killing them instantly.

"Move one step and you will end up like them" Felix said coldly to the 3 E ranks that remained, ever since he reached this mansion, his senses had gone on high alert so he knew that something strange was going on in the house, he had also confirmed it from the words of the man, there was no way the E+ ranks did not know what was going on in the house,.but these E ranks were innocent so he didn't want to kill them but if they decided to play thug then he wouldn't show mercy.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" One of the E ranks asked with fear, his eyes drifted to the dead E+ rank Espers beside him, they couldn't even put up a fight before they were killed.

"Drop your weapons and surrender and I won't kill you" Felix said calmly while staring at the E ranks who were so confused.

"Who do you think you are? Hmmp, do you think we are scared of you" Another E rank said, but if one were to place a hand on his chest, they would find out that his heart was beating furiously.

"Oh, do you plan to stop me then?" Felix smiled evilly releasing his full killing intent on the man.

Feeling the murderous aura coming from Felix immediately caused the man to faint from fear, which surprised Felix.

The other two E ranks, thinking Felix was distracted, tried to send a message to the Espers inside but before they could, they only felt a gust of wind and a strong force slammed their faces, knocking them out.

"I told you to surrender" Felix said picking them up and placing them in the shadows. He also searched the bodies of the E+ rank Espers and kept them with their treasures in his dimension ring, the dimension Ring came with a feature that allowed living beings to stay within for some time.

"8 E+ ranks, why would he need so much protection? What is he hiding? And why employ people with literally zero fighting skill? whatever it is, I will find out" Felix said suspiciously, the more time he spent here, the suspicious he became, all the E ranks he had met, were all weak hearted people, they couldn't even fight, but they were bodyguards, he was curious to know what was happening, he knew that the answers lay behind the door.

Taking a deep breath, Felix then walked into the mansion and closed the doors, moments later, screams of pain sounded in the house which lasted for a minute but they soon stopped.

"Now, where in the world is that D-rank Esper" Felix said walking through the mansion, half of his clothes and hands were soaked with blood, and around him lay the bodies of several E+ rank Espers, some of them had several parts of their bodies stabbed multiple times and the others had most of their body scorched black, some also had their limbs slashed off by wind blades.

"Hmm this must be it, a sound isolating barrier, jackpot" Felix said with a grin as he placed his ear on the door, after not hearing anything, his guess was confirmed, he observed the door for some time, and discovered several runes carved on the door, his target was behind the door.

Within the room where Felix was standing, three figures could be seen, two stood before a middle-aged man who sat behind a desk. They were speaking to each other when the door was suddenly locked off it's hinges causing it to slam into the wall.

"Who.... " An angry voice sounded from the middle-aged man who stood up in alert, as Felix calmly walked into the room.

"Hmm, what the...you.." Felix said with shock and rage after spotting the two figure speaking to the middle-age man, he stared at the scene inside the room, there were 3 people in the room but with his terrifyingly high perception, he sensed one more being in the room.

The being was invisible to the naked eyes, this meant that it was invisible, he recognized the aura instantly, he had felt that aura once before and he knew with 100% certainty that it was a Kreed.

The Kreed was not what surprised him the most, but the two people standing before the middle-aged man whom he assumed to be the D-rank Esper.

These were the idiots who had killed the previous owner of this body, the mountain-like man, and the other one referred to as "Red".

Once Felix spotted them, he was filled with rage and excitement, knowing that this would save him a lot of effort.

Instead of hunting them down, he would finish them all off right here, right now, this was simply killing two birds with one stone.
