"Arrrggg" Vane frowned in pain as he opened his eyes groggily, his vision was blurry and he felt pain everywhere, all he heard was a ringing sound in his ears but after a while, he finally started hearing something that sounded like his name.

"VANE!" He heard his name clearly from the side, he turned to see Mulan rushing to him, and finally, everything came back to him, how Lu Ban's lackey had reached for the orb, and how it had exploded but Vane had pushed Mulan out of the explosion's range just in time, but he had also been caught in it.

"Vane are you alright?" Mulan asked after getting to Vane's location.

"Arrg, nope I'm definitely not okay" Vane replied getting to his feet amidst the scorching pain that spread across his entire body, he glanced down at himself and realized that he had only been thrown back by the explosion, he was lucky to have only gone off with a few broken bones, the ones closer to the explosion were a different case.
