"What deal did you make with Cynthia that's taking most of your time?" Alex repeated his question after getting no reply. He looked at the trio observantly for a few seconds and it suddenly clicked. He was the only one in the dark about this so-called deal.

"What are you guys hiding from me?" Alex rephrases the question after reading their body language. He could tell from their awkward glances towards one another that they had an answer to his question but none of them was willing to speak up.

"I-It's nothing serious. I… um– I made a deal with her a few weeks ago and I have been diligently working on it, that's why I barely have anyone's time." Sophia stuttered the only thing she could come up with in the space of a few minutes.
