Chapter 15

Henry tossed and turned in bed. It seemed like sleep had eluded him but only he knew why. Just before he walked into his room that night, he finally caught a glimpse of the lady, attending to Luther.

Her dirty blonde hair shone in the light, as it cascaded down her back, like fresh water falls. She had an oval face with small lips. Her upper lip was slightly plump which gave her a permanent pout. He couldn’t say the color of her eyes because he was distanced from her. Henry should have put into consideration that she was family with Luther but right now, he was running low on good reasoning.

He had quizzed his friends on the girl. They finally told him that Laura was not Luther’s biological daughter. It was said that Luther had lost all his family members in a fire accident. Including the nanny.

Laura was the little daughter of that nanny. After the burial, Luther took her in as his and they formed a family.
