Chapter 9

While Henry was being restrained by the security, the remains of the chain fell to the floor and landed in front of Mr. Pedro. Mr. Pedro picked it up and glanced at the symbol on the chain.

"What have you guys done to my guest!" Mr. Pedro voiced out in anger.

All heads in the area turned and they saw Mr. Pedro, the owner of the company walking towards the ongoing scene with his face bright red in anger. Catching a glimpse of his father, Danny stood up from the floor with his nose bleeding and rushed up to him.

"Father, look at what this lunatic here did to.." Before Danny could finish his complaints, Mr. Pedro slapped him real hard on the face and caused him to stumble backwards.

"How dare you all harass an important guest like this! Do you have any idea what punishment might befall this company with what you all have just done now?!" Mr. Pedro voiced with boiling rage.

He recognized the symbol on the chain as Luther's empire and was fully aware of what would happen if he knew one of his henchmen got treated badly by his workers.

Hearing the words of Mr. Pedro, the security unlocked the handcuff and released Henry.

"I think you are mistaken, sir. This man is trash who doesn't belong here. He was the one who attacked Danny because he accidentally ripped his cheap chain off." Elena uttered with a slight look of confusion.

"You stay out of this!" Mr. Pedro roared at Elena, causing her to flinch in fear and remain silent. "Please, I apologize on their behalf."

"It's not an issue." Henry assured while rubbing his red wrists after the cuffs were taken off.

"Please, let's head to my office to discuss your reason for coming here." Mr. Pedro said respectfully as he led Henry to his office.

Danny stood there in disbelief and his palm rubbing his red swollen cheek in anger. Henry has just humiliated him right in front of all his workers, and when he thought his father would punish him when he arrived, he instead supported Henry and even apologized.

"I will deal with you, Henry Barlow." Danny muttered under his breath.

Mr. Pedro led Henry to his office that was located at the top floor and offered him a seat and a glass of wine.

"I apologized once more for the trouble my son caused back there." Mr. Pedro spoke after sitting on his chair.

"It's fine. Besides, I already taught him a lesson before you arrived, so there's no need to apologize." Henry responded with a grin.

"So, what brings a henchman of Luther over to my company?" Mr. Pedro inquired.

Henry picked up the glass of wine and took a sip before responding.

"He told me to come get a pass. He didn't give me the details, he only said you would understand what he needs once I mention the word 'pass'." Henry muttered.

"That's right, I do know what he needs." Me. Pedro affirmed as he rose up from his seat and walked to a drawer by the corner of the office.

He pulled the drawer open and took out a small silver card and walked back to Henry. "Here you go." He then handed the card over to Henry.

Henry retrieved the card and glanced at it in bewilderment.

"That's it?" Henry inquired, his gaze fixated on the silver card and he could see his reflection.

"Yup. That's the pass he demands for." Mr. Pedro answered back. Hearing the response of Mr. Pedro, Henry stood up and exited the office.

He headed to the elevator that took him down and he stepped out of it and began to make his way towards the exit. While walking forward he saw Elena and Danny standing beside the door, but they dare not utter a single word after what just happened.

Henry smirked at them as he walked past them.

"This bastard.." Danny fumed in anger, but Elena held him back.

"Knock it off. You can't attack him here. If your father finds out you will be in big trouble." Elena cautioned as she glared at Henry in disdain who was busy walking away.

"That guy just humiliated me in front of every worker, I can't let that slide." Danny muttered through gritted teeth.

"I never said you should let it slide, I only said you should refrain for now. You can always send your boys over to his apartment to teach him some lessons." Elena informed me.

"That's true. I can't send the boys on any errand today since they are out of town carrying out a mission, but once they are back their next location will be Henry Barlow's apartment. And I will make sure they kill him." Danny snorted.

Henry arrived back home and went straight to his bedroom. He placed the card which he got from Mr. Pedro, went into his closet and took off his clothes to shower. Henry had a quick shower before laying down on his bed with head filled with thoughts about tomorrow..

'What type of operation will it be?' That was Henry's thought ever since Luther informed him about it. He wished to know just what type of operation it was and if it was a dangerous one.

Henry couldn't ask Luther, so he had no choice than to shut his eyes and wait for tomorrow.

"""

The morning sun rose up and the Ray's flickered into the room through the window and shone brightly into the eyes of Henry, causing him to wake up from his slumber.

Henry stood up from his bed and yawned while stretching his body. He glanced at his phone and saw the time was 7:01am, swiftly making his way into the bathroom to prepare.

In less than twenty minutes Henry headed downstairs and walked to the kitchen. He took out a can of chicken wings and placed it in the microwave to heat up.

After several minutes of waiting, a chiming sound was heard and Henry took out his meal. He rushed everything in the can and gulped a bottle of beer before dashing out of the house and heading towards the awaiting Mercedes Benz.

Henry entered the car and it drove him off instantly.

Henry arrived in Luther's mansion and made his way in. The living room was crowded with several fierce looking men that had guns in their hands and smoking cigarettes. Catching a glimpse of the people and weapons, Henry's heart beat faster and he gulped down saliva.

"Henry, you are here." Luther walked down the staircase and made his way towards Henry who just stood there shivering in fear.

"What's the matter?" Luther inquired after noticing the frightful expression on Henry's face.

"W-what's happening here, sir?" Henry questioned in a shaky voice and his heart raced.

"We are going for the operation I informed you about. I will be going in with you and four other members, while the rest will keep watch from a distance away." Luther responded.

"I-if I may ask, sir, what type of operation is it?" Henry inquired.

Hearing Henry's question, the rest of the members glared at him 'like what the fuck?'.

"Relax, Henry." Luther placed his hands on Henry's shoulder with a smile. "We are only going there to make a peaceful trade, that's all. I only need the weapons in case things go south, not because I am going there for violence." Luther explained.

Henry nodded his head and his racing heart began to calm down.

"Hold on to this just in case." Luther pulled out a silver pistol from his back pocket and stretched it towards Henry. Henry gulped with his gaze fixated on the gun.

"What do I need this for, sir?" Henry inquired, refusing to collect the gun.

"Hold it just in case. It's better to be prepared." Luther responded, his hand still stretched forth.

"But, sir, I do not know how to use a gun." Henry informed me with sweat trickling down his face.

"It's easy, all you have to do is aim and pull the trigger." Luther explained politely.

Henry glanced at the gun for several more minutes before retrieving it with his hands shaking and placed it by the side of his trouser.

"Where is the pass you got from Mr. Pedro? And also the chain." Luther demanded. Henry took out the shiny silver card from his pocket and also the broken chain.

"I got into a small fight over there, and the chain accidentally broke." Henry informed with his head bowed down in shame.

"Are you sure that's what really happened? Do not lie to me, Henry." Luther sounded. Henry still bowed his head in silence before finally mumbling.

"I ran into my ex-girlfriend and her partner, Danny. Danny was the one who ripped it apart." Henry narrated.

"Why did he do that?" Luther asked in a menacing tone.

"He thought I came to the company to visit a girl who works as a cleaner, and that I wanted to give the girl the chain, so he ripped it apart." Henry responded.

"Send three comrades over to Mr. Pedro's company and do a number to it." Luther declared with a devilish look.
