"William! If you dare to return home today, I'll kill you with my bare hands" The raging voice of a woman sounded from the other end of the phone and the harshness of her tone could be felt.

William stood there with his phone and remained silent, listening to her screaming voice, "I asked you to wash all the toilets and dishes in the house but you have become bold enough to disrespect me"

"I had to go to work. Mother-in-law..." He tried to speak but she interrupted him harshly.

"How dare you call me mother? I'm not your mother-in-law. I don't accept you into the Wilson family. You're only the trash whom my daughter has been forced to marry and stay with. You must agree to divorce my daughter or I'll make your already miserable life more miserable, you trash-picking loser! "

William was already used to this daily confrontation but today, he didn't expect her to go this extreme and insult him.

The Old Master Wilson had been responsible for arranging the marriage between his granddaughter and William, and no one could challenge him because of the ultimate power he had as the head of the Wilson family.

Now that the old man lay sick in the hospital, his in-laws are trying their best to frustrate William and force him to divorce without the knowledge of the head.

William is not surprised by all of this.

They have always been cold to him and referred to him as the trash of the family.

For five years, he has been a live-in son-in-law who did all the cooking and chores in the house until he managed to get a job as a garbage collector.

Still, they didn't see him as significant.

His wife, Tracey, was one of the five eminent beauties in all of New Spring City and they wanted her to be married to one of the formidable tycoons in the country.

She was a beauty that was desired by business owners who were worth billions of dollars and even had numerous assets in their names.

Such an engagement will cause the Wilson family to leap to the top of the social ladder and they would become one of the most significant power players in the City, but they didn't expect the old head of the family to tie Tracey to a nobody like William.

He had appeared out of nowhere with no background and offered a little help to the Wilson family five years ago.

No one understood why an intelligent man like Master Wilson would make such a terrible mistake.

Was he trying to repay William's help by giving out his granddaughter?

All efforts to make him change his mind all these years have proved futile.

He sighed dejectedly and said, "I love my wife very much. I've done everything for her and will remain the best man in her life"

"Is that so? Whatever...Come home immediately, we have a guest and I need you to cook for him, and serve him "

William's brow furrowed slightly because he was surprised at how calm she had suddenly become.

His Mother-in-law was a difficult woman to reason with.

" A guest? Is the Father-in-law back? "

" Don't ask me questions. Get back immediately! " William heard a few beeps and realized she had hung up the call on him.

He was planning to leave for home already so he didn't think much about her demand and drove his garbage truck away.

With a smile on his face, he glanced at the bunch of cream-colored sunflowers on the seat beside him.

He had saved up his salary since five years ago for this day and endured the ridicule from his wife's family.

He tried calling his wife to tell her about the surprise he got for her birthday but she wasn't taking his calls.

"Hey Tracey, I've not been able to take care of you since we got married but today I bought something exquisite for your birthday. I'll meet you at home" William sent a voice note to her.

It was impossible to hide his excitement as he sang with a loud voice and occasionally checked to see if his wife had replied.

"She must be busy" He assumed.

William was supposed to drive to the landfill site where he usually disposed of the waste from the garbage truck but went home instead because he was worried about his wife.

He tried calling Tracey again but it wasn't going through anymore.

Could she have encountered a problem at work?

She should be back home already since today was her birthday and the rest of the family would be celebrating with her.

He arrived at the Wilson's villa and was surprised to see the Rolls-Royce Phantom parked in the front of the building.

This made his brows furrow because no Wilson had this brand of vehicle except there was a rich guest around.

His Mother-in-law informed him already and he believed it was his father-in-law who had been away for a while.

William hurried into the foyer of the building and was welcomed by the loud laughter and chatter.

He was approaching the great room in the villa when he heard the masculine voice of a man saying, "... it's worth more than what your useless husband makes in a lifetime. I bid and got this Crimson Scarlet at an underground auction for 10 million just to show my love for T"

This made William enter quickly into the living room and was shocked by what he saw.

His eyes turned dark in anger and he tightened his fist uncontrollably.

This can't be.

Tracey was smiling sheepishly under the speech of the man in Armani suit who had his hand wrapped around her slender waist.

His mother-in-law was present in the room with them and there was also the butler of the family who was standing by.

Who is this man who dares to hold his wife this way?

"You! Let go of her now!" William roared madly as he charged forward.

They all turned in his direction and there was a look of shock on the face of Tracey.

She panicked but demanded, "William, what are you doing here?"

He noticed that she didn't break out of the man and this made his heart quake.

"What am I doing here? This is our house. Who is this man? What is he doing here" The moment William asked this question, the mysterious man audaciously pulled Tracey closer to himself and placed a kiss on her forehead.

Such audacity!

William rushed to attack him but Tracey was quick to move and protect the man with her body, forcing him to stop abruptly.

Staring fearlessly at William, she said, "William, let us get a divorce"
