Diane's POVI'm sitting in my room, staring out of the window when I hear the knock. Hans' POV I part ways with Sirius and Diane because I wanted to be alone, especially away from Diane. In a very short time it would be midnight. I walk to the dresser and I change into a more comfortable clothe. I feel sleepy, instead of going to bed, I go to my closet and I get out the bag of rubies. I walk back to my Bureau and I take a seat, i pour the contents of the bag on the table and when I'm sure each and every piece of ruby is out of the bag, I drop it aside. The rubies aren't big in size but they're not small either. It's morning.The war has ended, I feel like I have no use in Von. I feel useless. I wake up, for the first time I sleep peacefully.I climb out of my bed and I walk to the closet. King Cypher had gifted me a bag of precious stones yesterday. I had put it in my safe. I walk through the portal and I walk into a room. The portal closes, I hear the sound but I don't turn around to look, instead I take in my surroundings.
