Chapter 5

Kaiden gave Kyra a sharp look. "You won't be able to touch me in the slightest. Because I will never let him." The voice sounded very stern.

Kyra could not hold back her anger, but she also could not vent her anger at Kaiden, especially now that Kaiden was gripping her wrist roughly. It was painful for him.

"Let go of me!" Kyra tried to pull her hand away.

Kaiden let go of the hand roughly and pushed her a little, which made Kyra almost fall.

Rihanna's cell phone rang. Anxiously, Rihanna answered the phone call when she found out it was a call from the hospital.

"Did something happen with my daughter to make you call?" Rihanna's voice was filled with worry. Right now, he wanted to run away from there and see how his daughter was doing.

"We've warned you before that you must pay the hospital fees immediately, or else we'll remove the oxygen mask if you don't pay the surgery fees." There was a stern voice on the other end of the line.

Rihanna rounded her eyes after hearing the hospital's words. She shook her head quickly. "Oh no, please don't remove my daughter's oxygen mask. She still really needs it. I'll pay for it right away. I-I'll be here soon." She answered hurriedly and then simply switched off the phone.

Rihanna was so anxious that she immediately ran to her grandfather. Right now, all she could hope for was her grandfather. Even he was ready to do anything for his daughter's recovery.

Her daughter was the only person she had and loved so much. Of course, Rihanna didn't want to lose her daughter just like that.

Rihanna's gaze looked pitiable, putting her hands together in front of her grandfather in tears, "Grandfather, please help me to immediately pay for my daughter's hospital fees."

"I just got a call that my daughter's oxygen mask will be removed soon if I don't pay for the surgery. Help me, grandpa." Rihanna pleaded with her grandfather. Even she couldn't control her crying.

Lucas looked at her sharply. "No! Didn't you refuse what I asked you before? So don't blame me if your daughter is gone. It's none of my business. She's a disgrace to the Adams family. Disgusting!"

There was clear hatred in Lucas' wrinkled eyes for Rihanna's daughter. He didn't even care if the child would die.

Rihanna knew her grandfather still wanted her to spend the night with the Calderon family manager. Then afterward, he prostrated himself at his grandfather's feet.

He looked up with his hands clasped together even tighter. "Grandpa, don't let the doctor remove my daughter's oxygen mask. I will spend the night with the manager and bring an invitation to the Adams family as a representative. I'll do anything, but please help me pay for my daughter's surgery." Rihanna spoke with sobs.

She had to agree, even though it was very hard for her. But Rihanna had no choice but to follow her grandfather's request. "Please don't let my daughter die."

Seeing Rihanna begging made Kaiden unable to bear it. Of course, she wouldn't let her pray in front of her family just to save her daughter. Kaiden knew that Rihanna's daughter was her daughter too.

Kaiden immediately approached Rihanna, brought her to his feet, and spoke, "I will save your daughter. You don't have to beg in front of them."

Before Rihanna could deliver anything, Kyra moved closer to Kaiden. She pulled Kaiden's hand and spoke firmly. "You don't need to pretend to be a god of help for her. I know you won't be able to do anything."

Kaiden brushed Kyra's hand away roughly. He gave her a sharp look, but it made Kyra very angry. "You're just a poor, lowly man. And you won't be able to pay the huge hospital bill. Even if you take care of yourself, you won't be able to pay for it." Kyra said it firmly.

"Remember you're poor, so act accordingly and don't think of being a hero. She is a real bitch, who is prepared to spend the night with anyone. That's even more disgusting." Kyra looked at Rihanna sharply. Even as she remembered when Kaiden proposed, it made her even more disgusted.

Kaiden gave her a sharp look. "Rihanna, it's not appropriate to beg for demons like you."

Kaiden ignored Kyra. He looked at Rihanna and spoke, "You calm down. I will help you. "You don't have to worry and cry." Kaiden tried to calm Rihanna down.

"Are you sure?" Rihanna looked at him doubtfully. She didn't know enough about Kaiden before. Even Kyra said it was true that it would cost a lot of money. And Rihanna wasn't quite sure if Kaiden could pay the entire hospital bill.

Kaiden nodded his head. "Yes, I'm sure. Your daughter will not only continue to receive treatment, but she will recover soon." Kaiden reassured Rihanna again.

Although Rihanna wasn't quite sure, she chose to nod her head. And she hoped that Kaiden was indeed saying the right thing.

At this moment, Kaiden immediately reached into his pocket and retrieved his cell phone. He immediately contacted Dorry.

There was the distinctive voice of an old man on the other end of the line. "Sir, is there something I should do?"

"Yes, I want you to come to the hospital and pay all the hospital bills. "And I want you to come with a special party invitation on behalf of Rihanna." Kaiden gave orders to his servant.

"Sir, I'll do it right away." After hearing Dorry's answer, Kaiden disconnected the phone call.

Kaiden's gaze now returned to Rihanna. The woman was still sobbing, and her face looked worried. Kaiden touched her shoulder. Softly, he spoke, "You just relax. Everything will be fine."

The sound of laughter could be heard from Lucas. This made him want to curse at Kaiden. "Did you just make a phone call lying like a hero?" The laughter vanished, replaced with a cold stare and expression. "You won't be able to fool us just like that."

"I know the Calderon family very well. He wouldn't give an invitation to such a big party just like that. I'm also very familiar with that manager over there. "Until he's sent a bitch to dance in bed with him, he'll never give out invitations for free," Lucas emphasized to Kaiden with a stern face.

"You'd better get out of here. Don't waste our time with your crazy theatrics." Lucas pushed Kaiden away firmly. He was so sick of Kaiden being here. And he wasn't happy that Kaiden was divorcing Kyra just like that.

"Kyra, call the guards to drag this man out of here!" Lucas said in a loud voice.

As Kyra was about to make the call, Kaiden calmly spoke, "If you do, then I'll take Rihanna with me!”
