Eve felt severe pain when she and the rest of the soldiers were blown back by a shock wave they never expected. Neither of them had expected such a wave from Landon out of anger and anxiety.

Even after thirty minutes, neither she nor the men were able to stand up. The effect of the shockwave on their bodies was too strong. When Eve raised her head from her lying position to look at Landon, she found out he was on his knees. Landon has been kneeling in that same position for more than thirty minutes. She could tell that he was going through a great deal of grief.

Anyone in Landon’s position would feel grief after watching their close friend get murdered. Eve could tell Landin felt his grief way more than a normal person would because, unlike a normal person who was weak, he had the power to decide the fates of many in the world but he could not change the fate of his friend. Such grief must be really hard for him
