Chapter Twenty Eight.Mael stiffened in his own reaction, grasping a hold of what just happened. Two men he has never seen in his life; because he has back his memory now, and both are with a face he has never encountered until now. They’ve left, marking their presence not to be forgotten and to be constantly remembered. Not only was Mael chilled to his guts by their threat, they literally showed him how potent they are against him. Mael stood still conflicted on what his next move should be when his phone started ringing, jerking him out of his thoughts. He brought the phone to his attention, looking at the screen to see his caller was The Mayor. Recalling how his dinner went with him, he couldn’t help groaning out a sigh. Chapter Twenty Nine. The Next Morning. Mael and Victoria mapped out their plan overnight. Mael was go straight for his meet up with Joe early in the morning, and Victoria told him about her plan to find out what she could about the new threats bothering their safety. She told him of the security cameras involved for situations like this around her house, and how she would go through the recordings to capture their identities, then pass it over to a friend of hers at the organization to track them down and their background. Both bade each other goodbye as they got into their respective rides taking them to their planned destination. Joe was expected to be at the organization early this morning preparing for his general meeting with the committee. Mael was going to meet him there. Victoria already set a guy up at the entrance waiting for Mael to help him move unnoticed till they got to Joe’s office. Chapter Thirty The door beeped, pushing open automatically. Mael’s eyes narrowed to the entrance to see him walking into the room, totally unaware of his presence. He closed the door back, heaving a deep sigh as he proceed to take off his jacket when his gaze landed on Mael. “Who are you?” Alarmed, he questioned. Mael took off the glasses shading his vision, and the face mask hiding his identity, revealing himself to him before pushing to his feet. Chapter Thirty Two Mael scouted around the organization till it was time for the council members meeting, which all respected committees are expected to meet and discuss possible growth of the organization. Chapter Thirty Four Karen pushed the door open, the happiness expressed on her face washing off in an instant as she witnessed the traumatizing scene in front of her.
