“How may I be of help sir? He asked, from the other end of the phone.

“Collaborate with the Xavier company," he said, his voice brooking no argument.

On the other end of the line, Devon replied with a simple, "Yes, sir." Hanging up.

Marcus changed into a more comfortable outfit, and stepped out of his room, only to be met with Amayah, sitting at the dining table. Her eyes narrowed into a glare as he walked past, but Marcus remained unaffected, continuing on his way without a word.

Amayah's call to Owen was fueled by her seething rage. She couldn't believe Marcus had been released from jail, and she wanted him to suffer as she had. In her mind, he should be begging for her forgiveness, but his stoic attitude showed no signs of remorse.

"How dare he act so unaffected?" she thought, her fingers curling into fists.

The lack of fear and humility in Marcus's demeanor only heightened her fury, making her more determined than ever to see him brought to his knees.
