The Hook...

Kara kept typing, trying to decipher where the place could be found, but it was becoming really hard, and time is not waiting patiently for her, since it was now the next two days.

She sighed remembering the faces and still wondering how she saw something, or someone she's never seen before.

Everything she's seen, she has always been there at that spot, but this time...it's different. She has no clue whatsoever.

"Hey, Kara!" She heard making her look up from her laptop.

"Layla." She responded with surprise, seeing Zoey beside her. "And you're here."

Zoey nodded. "Yep. My class took longer than usual."

"I know you guys will not be busy by four. I need your escort." Layla told us.

"To where?" I asked with furrowed brows.

"A club. I was invited by a friend to an underground club called The Hook." She informed.

Kara's eyes widened at the information. "The Hook." 'Big coincidence.' She said in her thought.

Layla nodded. "According to my friend, it's a club that only special people know." She said with a proud smile on her face.

"So you're saying it's unknown?" Zoey asked with a duh tone.

Layla nodded again.

"If it's unknown, then it's illegal," Zoey stated the obvious.

I nodded in agreement. "True."

Layla rolled her eyes with a huff. "Come on you guys, loosen up for once. We're only going to have fun, not doing anything illegal."

"That friend that invited you, who's he?" Kara questioned inquisitively.

Layla sighed loudly, giving her a duh expression. "You mean she? She's just a new friend from school."

"Then she could be involved, and you could be in danger," Zoey warned.

"Is that a journalist instinct?" Layla asked with raised brows.

Zoey just sighed, shaking her head.

"When is the..." Kara trailed off trying to think of what to call it.

"It's two days from now," Layla answered getting what she wanted to say.

"Don't tell me you're thinking of going?" Zoey asked Kara with a raised eyebrow.

Kara nodded. "I will."

"Why?"

"Great!" Layla squealed joyfully and dropped two tickets. "Those are the tickets in case you change your mind, Zoey." She said enthusiastically, and cat walked out of the room.

"Are you serious?" Zoey asked Kara with deep furrowed brows.

Kara nodded. "Yeah, but undercover."

"What do you mean?" Zoey asked in confusion.

"I don't want to betray Layla, but things won't go as planned for her." Kara made known.

"I'm guessing we're taking the camera then," Zoey stated, fully understanding what Kara meant.

Kara smiled at her. "Just under the radar."

"Why are you doing this? What are you up to?"

"You know the problem, Mr. West. Don't you think I've helped you enough for you to confide in me?"

Mr. West chuckled in disbelief. "Wow. Why did you even help in the first place? I never even asked."

"What are you hiding, Mr. West? Let's work on it together."

Mr. West sighed. "It's none of your business, Stark. We're not that close."

"I could rid you of everything you have with just a snap of my fingers, Mr. West."

"Are you threatening me?"

Mr. Stark shook his head. "No, I'm not. I'm just letting you know you're swinging in my pockets."

"I know there are things you know about me, Stark, and that's why you got close, so you should also do yourself the favor of the warning." Mr. West said and walked out.

Mr. Stark blinked upon hearing his name, and he looked up at who called.

"Mr. Stark." The guy called again.

Mr. Stark sighed loudly and brought a paper out from the stack of papers on his desk. "What do you have for me, Vincent?"

"Mr. Stark, a call came for you from a guy who refused to say his name. He said he needs you there ASAP."

Mr. Stark leaned on his office chair rummaging on the information. "Unknown guy wants to see me ASAP? Why didn't you forward the call?"

Vincent gulped. "I...I wanted to, Sir, but he said to just give the information, and you'll understand."

It absorbed Mr. Stark into thoughts about who that could be.

"He said something about two days from now."

Mr. Stark looked at him, and he immediately understood. "Oh. OK. You can go back to your post."

Vincent immediately nodded and left the office.

Hunter walked away from where he hid after listening in on their conversation. "Two days from now, ah."

He walked farther away and dialed a number on his phone, and after two rings. It picked.

"Hello, Sir."

"I got a job for you."
