Chapter 73

Seamus' eyes narrowed, and his lips pressed into a thin line. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice a low, threatening growl. "This isn't over."

And with that, he stood up and stormed out of the room.

Dax sat there, his heart racing, his mind reeling. He had managed to convince Seamus to consider other options, but at what cost? Seamus was clearly furious, and Dax knew that this was only the beginning of a much bigger battle. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. But he knew that this was only the first act in a long and complicated drama.

He wondered what would come next.

As Dax struggled to maintain his composure during the phone call, Shannon watched him from the doorway. Her heart ached for him, and she wished she could do something to help. But she knew that Dax had to face this challenge on his own. All she could do was be there for him, and offer her support.
