“How dare you???” The hefty barbarian said angrily as he got up slowly from his seat.
“Uhmp?! Please I'm sorry, it's a mistake. I don't mean to”, The young man began begging, going down on his knees gently. The rest of the bar attendees who were partying began making way for the hefty barbarian. No one wants to get in the way of such a hefty gang leader. The last person he fought hasn't recovered from his injuries. “Did you know what you have just done?” The hefty barbarian said angrily again to the young man who kept moving backwards in fear. “I was only trying to go my way, sir; I didn't mean to pour away your drink”, the young man continued begging as he noticed someone behind him. He turned back and saw two other gang members of the hefty barbarian. “I will show you what we do to little brats like you”, the hefty barbarian said as he lifted his giant palm and landed it on the young man's face, sending him to the floor. The other bar attendees began murmuring, some of them already ran outside the bar in fear. This hefty barbarian is such a violent person especially when he is with his two partners in crime. The gang members and the barbarian began beating the young man. Some of the attendees started chanting for the barbarian to beat up the young man while some were begging them to stop the fight. Tydeus and Rakeh remained on their table and continued to eat and drink as if they didn't know what was going on. A kick to the spine of the young man from the barbarians and the crowd in the bar would shout, “yeeeeaaaahhhh!!!!” They even left their tables and their seats to gather around the barbarians as they beat up the young man on the floor. “We can't just sit here like we don't know what is happening”, Tydeus said to Rakeh who kept on eating his chicken and didn't bother about the fight happening behind them. “So what are we supposed to do?” Rakeh responded to Tydeus as he picked up his cup. “Let's go help the young man”, Tydeus said quickly and quietly. “And who is going to pay us for that?” Rakeh asked Tydeus quickly, spreading his hands to demonstrate his question. “Everything is not money, Rakeh”, Tydeus replied as he rested his back again on his chair, giving a side-eye to the fight happening behind them. “Well, I don't fight for free. You know that Tydeus”, Rakeh replied to Tydeus again as he took another bite from his chicken. The crowd in the bar kept on chattering as the gangsters continued to beat up the young man. “You? We are going to kill you today!” The angry barbarian said to the young man who was groaning on the floor. “They're gonna kill him”, Tydeus whispered gently to Rakeh expressing anxiety on his face. “I don't get into another person's business if it doesn't involve money,” Rakeh replied to Tydeus. “You know I don't like bullies”, Tydeus said again with a nervous face. “Alright, Fine! What do you want me to do? I only know how to kill”, Rakeh answered to Tydeus as he dropped his food. “No don't kill, just knock them out”, Tydeus replied to Rakeh, his voice almost above whispering. “You owe me one for this, bro”, Rakeh said as he pushed his table like he was about to stand up. The angry barbarian suddenly grabbed a jar of wine from one of the crowd around them; he was about to pour it on the young man's body to return the favour. “You spilt wine on my body; how about I bathe you right now with a jar of wine?” The angry barbarian asked villainously as he started to turn the jar upside down to drench the young man with wine. “Stop! That is enough!” Rakeh shouted to the gangsters from his seat. Suddenly, the whole bar went quiet and turned their face to those who just spoke. “How dare you tell me what to do?” The angry barbarian said as he took his attention off the young man on the floor to Rakeh who just interrupted him. “He spilt wine on your body? Fine! You have beaten him already. Just end it there and let the young man go.” Rakeh replied to the barbarian. “Do you know who I am?” The angry barbarian said as he kept walking gently towards Rakeh and Tydeus's table. “Who cares? Just let the young man go.” Rakeh said, almost laughing. The angry barbarian kept walking towards Rakeh as he cracked his knuckles. It seemed like he was about to manhandle somebody for real this time. The rest of the crowd remained mute. Who is this guy to interrupt the powerful barbarian gangster? “And if I don't!” The angry barbarian said as he slapped Rakeh's food tray away from the table, pouring everything to the floor. “He didn't just do that”, Rakeh said to Tydeus, his voice almost above whispering. It seemed like he had started to boil in anger. “Yes he did”, Tydeus replied quietly to Rakeh. “You have just made the biggest mistake of your life!” Rakeh exclaimed out of nowhere to the barbarian, He suddenly turned and drove a punch forcefully into the barbarian's stomach, sending him out of the bar through the window.“Whhhooooaaaaaa!!” The rest of the crowd exclaimed in great shock. Did this man just throw out the hefty barbarian through the window with a single punch? As the remaining two members of the gang saw that their boss had just been defeated, they ran to attack Rakeh and his friend. The first one agitatedly came closer to Tydeus, but Tydeus immediately stood up from his chair and collided with his jaw using his head. This impact instantly brought out four teeth from the mouth of the gangster as he fell on his groins. The rest of the crowd in the bar burst into laughter as they saw this. The second gangster became confused, he didn't know who to hit, maybe Tydeus or Rakeh. He immediately faced Tydeus and began throwing punches at him. Tydeus stood his ground with his cup of wine as he dodged all the punches without flinching. As the gangsters kept throwing punches but kept missing everything, the crowd began laughing. Tydeus came close to the gangster again so he could land a hit, but h
“Hey, little you. How have you been? Where is your friend?” Tydeus said to Sakoh's sparrow as he massaged its neck while the bird stood on his shoulders.“There he is”, Rakeh said as he sipped some wine from his cup.Sakoh came into the bar towards Tydeus and Rakeh's table with a bag in his hands. He pulled out a chair and sat with them. “So what's the update?” Tydeus asked Sakoh who looked tired and sweaty.*BANG!*Sakoh dropped the small bag of money he went to collect on the table and said, “This is all I got, their village head said they would pay up our balance by the end of the month”.“Damn it!!!” Rakeh shouted out of nowhere.“I told you those people aren't going to pay us well, they don't have our price. Now we don't have our money complete after all the stress we went through last night”, Rakeh protested to Tydeus.“Oops! Just take it easy man. We are going to get another good job”, Tydeus tried to calm Rakeh down.Sakoh grabbed a cup from the table and tried to fill it wi
Tydeus and his friends remained unshaken. They stayed in their seats, waiting for who and what was coming.Only a few people remained in the bar, as the rest had run outside. And all of a sudden, great silence took over the entire bar as everybody kept mute waiting for what was coming.Suddenly, two soldiers walked into the bar. They didn't look like ordinary soldiers, with the spear and shield in their hands, the kind of armour they were wearing and the symbol on their shield, they looked like they were from a palace or kingdom.Rakeh immediately signalled Tydeus, this might be a threat or something. The two soldiers came in and stood at the entrance as escorts, which they were; two other soldiers came from the entrance, too, but this time, with someone in their middle. The person was wearing a long black cloak which covered every part of the person's body, and the face was covered with a black hood.Tydeus remained on his seat wondering who it could be. Is he about to be arrested by
It all happened around 400 BC. Somewhere on the coast of the River Nile, Cairo in Egypt, Tydeus, his two hands cuffed with heavy chains connected by a long chain cuffing his two legs, was dragged like an ordinary ram by one of the Iron Mask pirates.“Move you rascal!” He yelled at him as he pushed other captives who were lined up at the front.Tonight seems to be the luckiest night for the Iron Mask pirates. This time they caught lots of captives, lined them up and connected them with one long chain, marching them into their big ship. The Iron Mask pirates are one of the most notorious criminal organizations in all of Cairo and other big cities in Egypt.Recognized by their black and ugly metal masks, they're mostly responsible for every kidnapping, destruction, chaos, and violence in the cities of Egypt.Tydeus, one of their long-time targets, has just been caught; this is someone who has always attacked them and ruined their ruthless operations countless times. All the prisoners k
“Boss! Boss!! Boss!!!”“What is it Gryza?” Galdashkeh responded to his pirates’ captain as he adjusted his native wine which was almost pouring from the table.“Boss Galdashkeh, we have just received a message from the Fortress; they are clear to receive us; the reinforcements have also arrived there”,“We can take the ship there now to draft further operations”, Gryza reported to his boss, spreading a small letter and a big map on the table.“Oh well, it seems tonight just keeps getting better and better. We could arrange all the merchandise and prepare them for sale as early as possible” Galdashkeh said, wearing a confident smile on his face as he poured some of his native wine out of the jar into a bowl.“The merchandise? I thought we had agreed to sell it to our clients over the Mediterranean Sea; they have made payments already,” Gryza interrupted.“Oh I forgot, then we can just pick up the other merchandise and prepare them for sale to other clients. You know we need money to bu
*BANG!!!!*The door of the prison in the ship was pushed open.“Move out! Move!! Move!!!”The Iron Masks pirates began bringing their captives out of the prison as they yelled at them like worthless slaves. They have arrived at the Iron Fortress, a big tower situated somewhere in the middle of the water. This is the main hideout of the Iron Mask pirates and here, all their members are present. It seems the night just continues to favour the Iron Mask.Walk faster! Faster!! Faster!!!The pirates continued yelling at their captives as they marched them from the ship to the Fortress.Gryza, the captain of the Iron Mask pirates, walks towards the main door of the Fortress, resting his back on the gigantic gate of the main entrance. He began saying to the captives as they dragged themselves into the Fortress,“The Iron Fortress will be your final stop. Only a strong ship can sail around this area and survive”“The Iron Mask ship is the only ship allowed within sight of this island, any oth
“Take it easy, old man, I get angry easily”, Tydeus responded to the man, his face squeezed like he just tasted an unripe lemon.“I am sorry, I don't just like it when people call me a wizard. I know nothing about witchery. I am just an ordinary scientist.” Apphathorus the old man said, wearing a look of apology on his face.“Oh well, that is your problem,” Tydeus responded.Apphathorus began wondering, “Out of all the people locked up in this cell, why has this man, the one who has been getting everybody's attention so far, come any close to me, let alone having a conversation with me?”Out of curiosity, he asked Tydeus “What exactly have you come here to do?”“To do something unusual”, Tydeus said as he rested his back properly against the wall where they were sitting.“Something unusual? Have you come here to kill me?” Apphathorus asked, his face covered in fear.“Maybe yes,” Tydeus responded jestingly.“Huh?! Please, I beg you in the name of all the gods. I don't have anything on
“What?” Tydeus asked the old man. Apphathorus, with fear written all over his face, asked Tydeus, “Is it true that you killed Apophis, the great beast of the dark world with…”“With my bare hands. Yes, I like it sounding that way?” Tydeus intercepted Apphathorus.“No way!” Apphathorus exclaimed gently.“So how were the Iron Mask able to capture you? If you could kill such a gigantic creature like Apophis, how in the world would it be difficult for you not to save yourself from ordinary pirates?” Apphathorus asked curiously again.“Capture me? Who said they captured me?” Tydeus said, almost laughing.“So how did you get here? How is it that you are here now?” Apphathorus asked fastidiously.“To do something unusual as I have said before. I came here to complete my job”. Tydeus replied confidently.“Job?? What job? Who comes into a prison to complete a job? That sounds like madness.” Apphathorus replied to Tydeus, his face covered in confusion.Tydeus looked at him and smiled again.“W
