CHAPTER 34

*Phweeeuuuuuuu!!!*

One of the Cytorex soldiers in front blew a horn to alert the rest of their henchmen hiding on the hills around the Valley.

Tydeus stood his ground like a valiant warrior, which he is, as King Nezeron and General Gyeron marched their armies to join him in front.

“I told you they knew we were coming”, Tydeus said to General Gyeron.

“Exactly, they've prepared for us. Now we are surrounded”, General Gyeron replied as he observed the rest of the Cytorex soldiers on the hills surrounding the Valley.

Amid the dreadful Cytorex battalions arranged in their front, five of them rode their horses gallantly to meet with their opposition's subject.

Tydeus, King Nezeron, General Gyeron and the captains held the front of their brigades as they watched the five Cytorex Soldiers coming forward.

They came close enough as one of them pulled off his appalling red helmet to confront Tydeus and his group, this one should be their leader.

“You have come looking for a fight, and we are happy to oblige…”

“You dare come into the den of the Cytorex? We would not hesitate to send you all to your makers at this moment”, the Cytorex leader spoke, his voice laced with authority.

“You! How dare you and your maggots storm into my palace and take my only son?” King Nezeron uttered angrily.

“Ah! That? That was only the tip of the iceberg of our plans. We were still preparing to come for your heads, to storm Giza and take what is rightfully ours”

“But now, it seems reality works in our favour. The same bastards we were preparing to go hunt have now come to meet us willingly in our den. What an Irony?!” The Cytorex leader exclaimed as he and his other four henchmen burst into laughter.

“Yes, we brought the fight to you this time around. And tonight we are ending your reign once and for all”, King Nezeron replied authoritatively

“Oh! I would be happy to see you try…”

“And you warrior, you seem very confident. Do you really want to get yourself involved in this?” The Cytorex leaders sarcastically asked as he turned to Tydeus who was also holding the front.

“Look at me, do I look afraid?”, Tydeus replied with a daring voice.

“Alright! It is over now, Nezeron!...”

“The Valley of Bones in your front, the perilous plateau at your back and you're heavily surrounded by my militias, and you know my troops outman you three to one…”

“Surrender now, and we shall consider being merciful”, the Cytorex leader spoke authoritatively to King Nezeron.

“Men die who speak to my King in such a manner”, General Gyeron quickly countered the Cytorex leader with a harsh tone.

“You have made your choice”, the leader of the Cytorex concluded as he wore his helmet and rode his horse back to his militias to assemble them for a charge against their opponents.

“Make way! Protect King Nezeron!” General Gyeron shouted, instructing his armies to protect the king as they all formed a big square and guarded the King in the middle.

Tydeus looked around to observe the environment. They were surrounded by the Cytorex, who were on the hills of the Valley, while thousands of them gathered in front for a fierce battle.

Tydeus took his attention to his armies again and said aloud,

“Tonight! This very night!! We make history. A history that would change the lives of our people…”

“A history that would change the lives of your wives. A history that would change the lives of your children and unborn children…”

“A history that would change Giza, A history that would change our great nation, Egypt…”

“But it comes at a cost. Tonight we battle the enemies who have made our brothers and sisters homeless…”

“The enemies who have made our cities turn against each other in the name of civil war. The enemies who have caused our great nation, Egypt to be what it is today…”

“Tonight, we battle the Cytorex. Armies of Giza listen to me attentively, the lives of many depend on you to win this war…”

“Remember what I told you about teamwork. As you fight, look out for one another…”

“Let it be known from this day, after this battle, that the armies of Giza destroyed the Cytorex and saved Egypt. We will make this history tonight!”

“This moment, become the man you were born to be. Let it be to death… OR VICTORY!!!”

“Yeeeeeeeeeeeey!!!” The armies yelled out spiritedly raising their swords and spears.

“Shield Wall, Form!!!” General Gyeron commanded as the soldiers assembled and positioned their shields all together to form a strong square barricade with the king and his special guards in the middle.

“CHARGE!!!” The leader of the Cytorex commanded his armies to attack their opponents as he stood back to watch them fight and dominate King Nezeron and his armies.

The Cytorex, in their great numbers, gushed towards the armies of Giza, sprinting furiously on their horses as they yelled loudly.

“Battle Position!!!” Tydeus shouted, instructing the soldiers to protrude their spears from the strong shield barricade that they had just formed.

“Ready General?” Tydeus sharply asked General Gyeron, who also held the front as they prepared for the Cytorex battalions, who were storming towards them in fury.

“NOW!!!” Tydeus signalled General Gyeron and his captains as he ran towards the Cytorex, spinning his sword tremendously for a blood bath.

The Cytorex battalions furiously collided with the armies of Giza and a fierce war broke out. Riding violently on their horses they were able to storm into the barricades the armies of Giza had formed,

But the armies had their spears protruded. If the Cytorex collided with them, they would have to pass through the edge of the spear before they could break into the shield barricade.

Luckily for the Cytorex, they were all on horses, which gave only a few of them the chance to ride violently into the barricade and fight the King's army.

But despite being on horses, no Cytorex rides into the barricade and lasts ten seconds, because the rest of the armies in the square will bring them down forcefully from their horse and send them to hell straight away.

But if the whole army of Giza remained in their square shield barricade, who was stopping the Cytorex from ramming into their barricades in large numbers which would obviously ruin their shield formation?...
