The black car raced ahead of them, cutting through the night streets at an unusual speed. Oliver sat quietly beside Desmond, who struggled to control the wheel with concentration.

Cold sweat beaded on Desmond's forehead as he sped up the car, but Oliver remained calm, his gaze fixed on the car ahead.

"Speed up. Make sure we don't lose them," Oliver said, his voice low but full of conviction.

Desmond nodded, his hands gripping the steering wheel tighter.

"Their car is much faster than this. We should cut off the road."

Oliver nodded, his gaze focused on the black car that was getting further away.

Desmond immediately turned the wheel, bringing the car into a small path on the right side of the road. The risky maneuver brought them a little closer to the kidnapper's car.

Desmond glanced at Oliver, still surprised by Oliver's composure in this situation.
