I couldn't believe what I could see.
Her flesh had torn open... Heading to her neck.
"Wait Davinc... Is it that serious?" She asked.
"No... Not really." I lied as I looked at her.
"Gosh... It's hurts so badly." She cries.
"She needs immediate surgery..." Edward says as he uses his spirit to clean the surface of the wound and she screams in pain while I covered her mouth with my palm... This place wasn't even that safe.
Catherine had always been the mother I never had.
Seeing her suffer like this hurt more than anything.
"Stay still Catherine." Edward said as he successfully removed the bullet that was in her arm out.
He cleans the wound and covers it up before I took him to a distant corner from where she was.
"Will she recover now?" I asked.
"The poison is now in her blood stream... She needs proper medication and surgery." He said to me.
"But I can't be able to help without getting the equipments I need... I also need to buy her drugs till she recovers Davinc." He adds.
"Okay... How much will be enough?" I asked him.
"For the surgery, we need blood... A lot of blood supply for her... Typically group O... And I will invite other surgeons... It will cost you roughly four million dollars... Or she is as good as dead." He said to me and my mouth split open in surprise looking at him.
I began to think where I could get that hefty amount of money... It was a really huge amount... Something I had never touched or spent in my life.
He turned leaving as I ran my fingers through my thick hair thinking so many things at once.
I had only two choices to make now.
One is to let her rest in peace whilst;
Two is to accept my title as the Mafia Lord.
These were the only ways to solve the matter.
Or maybe... I could start with asking for help from Vida's family... They should have enough to help.

They all turned to look at me.
I needed to be humble if I needed their help.
I fell to my feet as they looked at me.
"I know... Whatever I say doesn't matter in this house and it's probably too early to be asking anyone for help." I said looking at them.
"My aunty... She was shot with a poisonous bullet and she's dying... The doctor is requesting for the sum of four million dollars... I don't have this money... Please I beg you all... For your support... So she doesn't die." I said looking at Mrs Montero.

"We are a family now... But never you forget how useless and worthless that you are." Mrs Montero said to me as the rest family members mockingly laughed... And it for a moment there... It hurt.

"Lol... And who told you that you have any rights to talk in the matters of this family." Vida gets attacked by another male and then she keeps silent.
"Sad! Vida's husband is a begger." The same guy said looking at me as he mocks me.
"Daniel!" Vida says looking at him.
"Well can't your useless begger of a husband see that he is not going to get anything from us!" He yells back at her and Vida walks to me.
"Must you embarrass me in front of my family... Please leave now already." She said to me and I headed back to her room which I entered.
I pulled off my shirt to get air touching me.
The amount of mocking I received today spoke so bad about my reputation.
I was hurt to see how my wife was treated.
Was it because she was married to me?
Or was it because of who I am?
But I was only asking because they are like my only hope to safe my auntys life.
Although all that interest them is to mock me for been a loser husband in their mansion.
The rooms door opens and It's Vida.
I stood up and she looked at my chest.
Her eyes narrows to my abs and then to my dick bulge... The weather had done wonders.
"Your..." She tries to talk while stammering.
"Your bulge... Please cover it." She adds.
"Listen to me Davinc... Since you have decided to frustrate me in this house... I will frustrate you too!" She said looking straight into my eyes.
"Wait... You once said you had a million dollars to offer so I could leave right... Just four million dollars and I will leave your life please." I begged her.
"That's a huge amount Davinc... Except I talk to Bernard... He could help... At least he solves matters, unlike you." She said as I walked towards her.
She begins to walk two steps away.
"Boundaries!" She said and I stopped.
"Okay... Who is this Bernard?" I asked her.
"Some billionaire that loves me and I love him too Davinc... I hope you understand." She said to me.
I felt bad as she said that.
Was I begining to develop feelings for her?
Somehow I wished she loved me.
