"I never said I did. I only take an interest in why that bitch would go to any length trying hard to make the boss look like a fool in the presence of others." Linda said, avoiding gazes while she rushed to the table.

She pulled a plate of meal herself and hurriedly began to munch.

"I just hate it when somebody comes up trying to take advantage when they are wrong."

She faced Xander. "Tell me what exactly happened between the boss and that lady. How did the separation happen?" she inquired with a half-filled mouth.

Xander as well sighed before he voiced. "She left because the boss was still poor and then she followed another man."

"Ha…ha…" Surprisingly, Linda burst into laughter, startling everyone around.

"It's not funny, Linda." Xander voiced amidst the meal.

"Yeah, it is. Sorry, I laughed. Isn't it just funny? What century are we where women do not have a work of their own?"

"Just zip up now, Linda, The boss must not hear you speaking this way." Alaric cautioned.
