He had went through different ordeal where people humiliate him and call him names but this was his first time going through such ordeal with his old classmates whom they were once close friends!
" What could have caused this? Is it because of this social class too?" He thought inwardly as his eyes grew confused and sad
"Good Evening, Sir. " The girl beside Griffin's classmate greeted with a smile before turning to the girl. " Amy, You should attend to that young man. " She said as she turned her back to walk toward her own client who had been waiting for her.
Amy, as called by the girl rolled her eyes " Me? I won't do that." She replied firmly and her other colleagues were shocked at her sudden outburst toward a customer!
One even made an angry face as he glared at her " What was that? Why would you behave that way to a customer?!" The guy hollered but Amy wasn't moved at all. She crossed her arms and smirked.
" Customer? Do you think this one can afford any car here? Can't you see his clothes? Does he not look too cheap to you guys?" She asked sarcastically as she sized Griffin up and down as if he was her mortal enemy.
Griffin was perplexed. He looked at the girl with a creased up brow and let out a deep breathe. " This... I really can't comprehend how humans behave. " He mumbled tirelessly.
" You know him?" One of Amy's colleagues asked and Amy nodded her head grudgingly.
" Yes. I know him very well and it's a known term that he is world poorest man. He is so poor that he can't afford a single meal in a day! I can't believe he entered this place with his filthy legs!" Amy berated Griffin mercilessly and her colleagues also looked at him as if to figure out if what Amy was saying was true or not.
" Why are you being like this Amy? We never had any bad blood before we departed during our high school days, what's this all about?" He questioned but that only earned him more mockery from Amy as she called his attention to how poor he was and how wretched he looked. She pointed out every single detail in Griffin and made sure to insult him to her very best.Griffin sighed. " You... I..." He opened his mouth to defend himself but he wasn't able to say a word when a big bellied fat man walked in and Amy immediately ran to meet him.

" Ah! Mr. Des! You're here!" She greeted as her demeanor immediately took a 360 degree turn! She was fawning over the man as if he was her jackpot and her other colleagues who had no clients at the moment expressed jealousy as they murmured among each other
" That fat man is here again!" One of them said." He bought 2 cars here before and he is a very good client of hers. Amy is so lucky!" Another butted in and it turned to a hot discussion among the workers.
" Two cars? Two luxury cars... with the money in my account right now according to that Miss Emily. I can afford to buy 10 cars without losing a sweat but she ran over to a man who can only buy 2 cars? What a waste!" Griffin mumbled and turned his head to check the man.
Griffin looked at the man and he realized he was really as rich as they said. His dress looked rich and he was sure they were made of high quality. He checked himself and he needed no one to tell him how different he looked from the man even though his visual was 1000 times better than the man's and he could pass as a model if he was rich!
" Pathetic. I should patronize another place. All this is bullshit!" He cursed inwardly and clenched his fist.
Letting out a deep breathe, Griffin was about to turn to leave when a young man walked toward him and bowed a little. " Welcome, sir. " The young man greeted and Griffin was taken aback.
He expected no one to welcome him as he believed they've all casted him aside after hearing about how poor he was from Amy but someone actually came to her?
This world was actually not as bad as he thought and he just figured that out!
" Ah Yes! Thank you. " He replied politely and that was only then that the man raised his head and revealed a professional smile at him.
" How can I help you sir? We have different brands of cars here from the latest quality to the most expensive ones and even Middle grade ones. Come, let me show you some of our cars you might like. " The man advertised and Griffin was impressed. He looked at the guy and realized the guy should be a little bit older than he was. He flashed a satisfied smile at the man and made a questioning expression on his handsome face ~
" Why are you helping me? I thought none of you will attend to me after hearing the gibberish Amy spouted then. Why are you here?" Even though Griffin felt like the guy was different and kind, he was still a little bit confused at his attitude. In this world they lived, there was no poor lad who would want to curry favor or act nice to another poor person when there were surely others that were rich.The young man coming to him when there were so many clients he could attend to, greatly alarmed Griffin and he found his kindness too hard to believe!
The young man glared at his colleagues and shook his head before turning back to face Griffin. He let out a deep breathe as he opened his mouth to talk " Status or no status. Rich or poor. Fine or ugly. They are all our clients and aside that, I do not see anything bad in you and in fact, I feel like you are someone that needs to be respected. " the man explained and walked forward.
" Let me show you our brands. I'm sure you will like them. " He said and led the way while Griffin followed with his gaze totally on the young man while a lot ran through his mind!
They walked over to a very beautiful luxury car and Griffin was hypnotized by it beauty as he immediately felt the car with his hand and his face was full of delight.
The young man seeing this exposed a bright side of himself as he immediately started talking about the car.
" I don't know if he is rich or not. I don't know if I should be doing all these for someone that dress so cheaply but my instinct is telling me to continue. To be humble and I'm going to do this. That car, huh?" The young man said inwardly and his smile became wider.
" Ah that car? You've really picked a very good one . It's..." he wasn't able to finish his word when they heard a loud scream behind them and they both were shocked!
" How dare you touch that 1 million dollars car?! Can you ever afford it in your life?!" Amy hollered as she rushed over with the fat man who also had a mocking smile on his face.
" Young man, how can you be so careless despite the fact that you are so poor?" The fat man mocked.
Griffin seeing the situation smiled to himself and faced the young man " I'm getting this car. " He said, but that only earned him mockery laughter from Amy and the fat pot bellied ugly man.
