Chapter six

" You're going to buy that car? You talking that way gets on my nerves and it makes me want to drag you out of here. I don't understand why someone like you will be here in the first place but your right senses should let you know that you are disturbing our sales here.

Look at the building, look at the customers, all of them are leaving because you stink! You disgust them! I'm sure they are cursing us for letting you enter here when they are still around. You have the gut to touch that car? How dare you?" Amy muttered, pointing out every single flaws in Griffin and rubbishing him without any restraint whatsoever.

Her other colleagues gasped and covered their mouth. They did not know what to say as what Amy was doing was against the policy of the car company and they knew their boss wouldn't be happy with this if he got to know but who would stand up for a poor person?

They believed they had other things to do rather than standing up for a wretched pretty face.

The pot bellied man walked forward and chuckled. " Seeing you touch the car with your filthy hand disgust me to the core. I want to pull out that hand and burn it." The man mumbled and sized Griffin up. He shook his head and laughed.

" A car like this can only be bought by big men like me. Wretched men like you should learn to know their place. How can you ever afford to buy a car like this in your life? Silly! Very silly!" He added and laughed along with Amy and some of the customers who were spectating the whole matter.

Griffin felt embarrassed. He wasn't okay with the way the situation was turning out and he felt like he already knew where it would end up. He would be dragged out by the securities while some people would take pictures and post it online to disgrace him more.

The young man that was attending to Griffin looked troubled too. He wasn't okay with the situation just like Griffin wasn't but he was too worried about himself that brought Griffin to such an expensive car than Griffin himself who seemed to be unable to afford it.

" Maybe it's my fault for not taking him to see smaller and cheaper cars. I should be punished for being too careless." He cried inwardly. He pitied Griffin who was facing all the mockery.

Griffin sneered and took few steps back from the car. He spread his arms and shrugged. " I quit. You can buy the car. " He said as he turned to face the pot bellied man with a smile on his face. " It seems like you have a liking to this car.  It surely among the most expensive cars in this building and I'm sure someone like you will surely want to own it." He nodded his head, let out a deep breathe and winked at the man.

" As a man too, I will let this go. You can buy it for yourself. " Griffin replied. Even though he was mad inside, he still forced a smile on his face and acted like nothing was happening but he had a mischievous plan inside his mind.

The man eyes twitched! He looked around awkwardly and grunted. The fun fact was that his annual income wasn't more than 1 million dollars, how on earth could he afford a car that worth more than his annual income?

" My company doesn't earn more than a million dollars per year and you want me to buy this car? I don't think I can afford it even in ten years if I don't want to go bankrupt. " He blurted inwardly and rolled his eyes.

There was no way he could afford the money but there was no way he could say that out loud either as many people in the building would mock him and he would be embarrassed.

Amy seeing the awkward look on the man's face seemed to have learned something and she furrowed her brows. She scratched her neck awkwardly and hissed.

" Did you just say quit? How can you call that quit when you have no money? The word *quit* can only be accepted if you have what it takes to get the car but in this case, you don't. So, stop using the word *quit* and stop acting like you are doing someone a favor that is not wanted!" Amy mocked and turned the situation around.

" I won't let you bring my client down with you, Griffin. He is rich, he might not be able to get the car now but he is at least rich while you are extremely poor. " she told herself inwardly and breathed in relief.

Griffin sneered. He looked at the two and he immediately understood that the man wasn't rich enough to get the car. " Not every rich man can be rich enough to get this kind of car anyway. The amount is something many third tier families can not afford to pull out at once or it will greatly affect their business and pull them even backward, making them a peasant. " Griffin said inwardly and rolled his eyes at both Amy and the pot bellied man.

" I should just get it then. " he said.

He took out the black card from his pocket and handed it over to the young man. " I'm going to pay with this. " He said to the young man.

" Don't judge people by their past. It's unfair when you judge people by their clothes too and I want you to know that tables can always turn but it only got stuck when the good sides point at me. Right now, I'm different, Amy." He replied.

Griffin wished he could say this same word to his ex girlfriend who betrayed him after he did so much for her but this was still nice and he felt contented saying it.

The young man collected the card with excitement in his eyes, Although he felt a bit hesitant and wondered if Griffin could really pay.

" Don't worry, just go and do it. I won't price a car when I know I'm not capable of getting it. " Griffin assured the man when he saw the hesitant look on his face.

Amy scoffed. She covered her mouth and laughed. " Hey, what are you doing? Are you really going to buy his lies and process this fake card? Why are you being so silly when the matter is so clear? You must have really lost your mind today. " Amy mocked the man, thinking he was silly to think of collecting Griffin's fake card.

The young man glared at Amy, causing her to shut up and he entered to process the withdrawal and the documents for the car.

Amy and the pot bellied man shared a glance and both felt nervous. " What if he actually buy the car?" The two were bothered.

" He looks so confident. What is this?" The man asked the already anxious Amy but he got no response.

   10 minutes later...

The young man returned with the card in hand and his face was dull. He looked at Griffin with a sorry gaze and handed the card over to him.

" Sorry sir, I tried it 2 times but it failed. Can you check your card again? I guess something is wrong with it?" The man explained while feeling really sorry for Griffin because he knew what he would have to face now.

The young man knew Amy and the pot bellied man were waiting for a outcome like this and they wouldn't miss it in shaming Griffin but there was nothing he could do.

Amy and the pot bellied man faced each other and their eyes lit up. They held their stomachs as they burst into laughter!
